Getting laptop online via mobile phone gprs?09 Dec 2006 13:45 GMT2
I may need toget online while im on the road so was planning on using my
6230i gprs. My usage would be so low i cant warrant a pcmcia card and data
account for cdma2 or whatever is going around.
Are there any carriers that will let you do this with prepaid? Im with voda

Are there any plans that don't have a monthly fee (or forced credit
expiry) that also allow GPRS? I will be using it for a car tracking
system so the overall data usage will be low, and voice calls are
likely to be zero.

I'm thinking of getting my first pda phone and the Dopod 838 Pro has
caught my eye at one of my regular suppliers.
I'm currently on '3' Australia and I'm trying to find out whether my sim
will work in the phone out-of-the-box. If not, can it be made to?
