Using a Java application to dial a mobile / cell phone via Bluetooth30 Mar 2007 10:00 GMT5
I want to add a facility to some of my Java applications on a lap top
to dial phone numbers on my mobile / cell phone using Bluetooth.  Note
that I am not talking about a dial up connection to the internet, just
an ordinary voice call initiated by the Java application.  I have got
Probably simple question - anonymous communications via bluetooth27 Mar 2007 16:03 GMT2
I'm not that well informed about bluetooth. I know that if I keep my
visiblity on people can see my phonename - for example if I am on a
bus or in a bar. I can also find out other people's phone names around
me (some very funny!). But I can never communicate with these people
Does Class 1 dongle increase range to my class2 headset?20 Mar 2007 10:39 GMT1
One can buy a class 1 bluetooth dongle that claims to have
100M range.  But if I use it to talk to the same old
class2 bluetooth headset, will it gain any range.
Doesn't matter how far it can send if it can't receive

Bluetooth head piece troubleshoot19 Mar 2007 07:28 GMT2
Hi: I'm the "IT" guy for our family, but I don't really know what I'm
doing (I just fumble around). My husband's Motorola HS820 bluetooth
earpiece has stopped working. He took it off the charger and the blue
light stayed on. You can turn it off or get it to pair with the phone.

I am trying to pair my phone with a BT GPS unit which has a preset
pairing code only by letters (NAVMAN).
Does anybody know how can I send capital letters from the phone instead
of numbers as a code?

Simple questions regarding bluetooth16 Mar 2007 22:05 GMT3
I have a simple question.
If I buy a headset that states it has a range of 10 meters and I buy a
dongle that says it has 25 meters range.  What will actually be my
range? ???
Motorola "Q" sucks big time16 Mar 2007 22:02 GMT1
The Motorola "Q" cellular phone is a disaster.
Implementation of Windows Mobile leaves a lot to be desired.

3g Duplicate sim?14 Mar 2007 21:20 GMT3
Do you have any idea how/where I can get a 3G SIM card duplicated?
I'd like to duplicate my phone SIM to put in the car, so both cards have the
same phone number/IMEA details. I'll turn my phone off when in the car, and
switch it back on, when out of it.
Bluetooth Problems14 Mar 2007 09:17 GMT1
I have a Motorola Razr and am trying to connect the bluetooth to
another Razr and have no idea how to begin to start.  I am trying to
send a game to the other phone and I know the phone can connect
because someone has done it before; I just can't do it.  Can someone
Bluetooth headset for more than one phone...05 Mar 2007 08:35 GMT2
I have 2 mobile/cellular phones and am about to purchase a bluetooth
headset. My question is this, can I have one headset that will answer
calls from either phone, or do I need to have one headset for each
phone?
Universal Bluetooth Stack?01 Mar 2007 01:05 GMT3
I have two USB bluetooth dongles.  Each works with it's respective
software.  If I try to swap them, I get an error message, "...not
licensed to use with this software..."
I'd like to be able to plug in whichever dongle is handy.
