I want to add a facility to some of my Java applications on a lap top to dial phone numbers on my mobile / cell phone using Bluetooth. Note that I am not talking about a dial up connection to the internet, just an ordinary voice call initiated by the Java application. I have got

I'm not that well informed about bluetooth. I know that if I keep my visiblity on people can see my phonename - for example if I am on a bus or in a bar. I can also find out other people's phone names around me (some very funny!). But I can never communicate with these people

One can buy a class 1 bluetooth dongle that claims to have 100M range. But if I use it to talk to the same old class2 bluetooth headset, will it gain any range. Doesn't matter how far it can send if it can't receive

Hi: I'm the "IT" guy for our family, but I don't really know what I'm doing (I just fumble around). My husband's Motorola HS820 bluetooth earpiece has stopped working. He took it off the charger and the blue light stayed on. You can turn it off or get it to pair with the phone.

I am trying to pair my phone with a BT GPS unit which has a preset pairing code only by letters (NAVMAN). Does anybody know how can I send capital letters from the phone instead of numbers as a code?

Do you have any idea how/where I can get a 3G SIM card duplicated? I'd like to duplicate my phone SIM to put in the car, so both cards have the same phone number/IMEA details. I'll turn my phone off when in the car, and switch it back on, when out of it.

I have two USB bluetooth dongles. Each works with it's respective software. If I try to swap them, I get an error message, "...not licensed to use with this software..." I'd like to be able to plug in whichever dongle is handy.
