Is TMO down?14 Oct 2003 06:00 GMT2
It's 3 pm in Dallas, and from the downtown area, all my calls are telling me
"We're sorry, your call could not be completed.  Please try your call again

It was working 10 minutes ago.
Roanoke14 Oct 2003 02:28 GMT2
Just an FYI, Roanoke is on line, with a pretty good footprint - Blacksburg
(Va Tech) is covered, as is I-81 from Winchester -> the Blacksburg (460)
exit (that's a long way) - I assume it goes all the way to bristol, but
didn't go that far.  There are gaps, but no more than a mile or ...

Would anyone like to comment about the nextel service vs T Mobil service
in the New York area. Price, coverage, customer service and phone
selections and phone performance, thanks
New EDGE Technology Question13 Oct 2003 05:58 GMT3
A customer rep told me that when T-mobile implements EDGE, I'll get a

Just wondering if you T610 owners would like share your experiences
regarding the RF signal capabilities?  I've been trolling reviews on this

Time Update broke in California?12 Oct 2003 21:15 GMT1
A few times ysterday, my phone (Eruicsson r520m) would say "Time
Update" or some such message - asking if I want to update the time.
Yes! Of course, it shows the right time, but when I say Yes, it
updates it to the wrong timezone (I'm 0800). So at 11:00, my clock

Hello,
I have a Nokia 6310i on T-Mo with the unlimited weekend minutes.
Since I had the unlimited minutes and a serial cable, I tried to use the
phone as a modem for dial up stuff for my normal weekend work. Serial
T-Mobile Customer Service Experience12 Oct 2003 07:41 GMT22
About two weeks ago, I had a rather unpleasant experience trying to persuade
(to no happy end, obviously) T-Mobile CSR that they could sign me up for
another couple of years of contract if only they will offer the Nokia 6610
for $35 (like folks have noted here) or the Samsung V205 ...

Just got back in the country after a couple of weeks abroad, and I
find that my Moto T260 is now permanently on "roam" mode in my home
market of Houston.
Previously:  At home, flashing power light was green, showing "home"

Nokia 3390 Gold Firmware11 Oct 2003 18:45 GMT7
Does anybody know a third party company that will flash Nokia DCT-3

I know www.gsmphonesource.com exists, but they only flash Nokia DCT-4
roaming in NC - Cingular is great, AT&T is only partially operational11 Oct 2003 13:43 GMT1
Just came back from a trip to Greensboro, NC, where T-MO does not offer
service but there is roaming coverage.  I was able to roam on cingular
without problems (including GPRS) as usual, but noticed the following when
roaming on AT&T (recently available)
