Just an FYI, Roanoke is on line, with a pretty good footprint - Blacksburg
(Va Tech) is covered, as is I-81 from Winchester -> the Blacksburg (460)
exit (that's a long way) - I assume it goes all the way to bristol, but
didn't go that far.  There are gaps, but no more than a mile or ...

Would anyone like to comment about the nextel service vs T Mobil service
in the New York area. Price, coverage, customer service and phone

A customer rep told me that when T-mobile implements EDGE, I'll get a
data rate 3 times that of GPRS.  Will we need new phones for that, or
are the current GPRS phones capable of receiving the new type of data?

Since I had the unlimited minutes and a serial cable, I tried to use the
phone as a modem for dial up stuff for my normal weekend work. Serial

About two weeks ago, I had a rather unpleasant experience trying to persuade
(to no happy end, obviously) T-Mobile CSR that they could sign me up for
another couple of years of contract if only they will offer the Nokia 6610
for $35 (like folks have noted here) or the Samsung V205 ...

Just got back in the country after a couple of weeks abroad, and I
find that my Moto T260 is now permanently on "roam" mode in my home
market of Houston.
