I googled the group for an answer to this, but couldn't find it. I have a TMobile Nokia 3390Gold phone that is a couple of years old. I used to have a monthly plan with them, but lost my job and things being as they were, I had to cancel my phone and took a few months to pay off

I have the option of getting a GSM phone from T-Mobile that's going to be a Motorola V.66. Is this a phone that is easy to unlock and be used with SIM cards for service in Europe/Africa? I'd appreciate any information anyone can offer.

I am using the tzones on my phone a lot. I have the easyspeak and its free. But whenever I chosse the option for "download fun" I get this stupid message that says my phone is not supported and to check the tmobile site for more info. Ive tried this on 6 different tmobile branded ...

Question: I see a number of vendors hawking "active", bi-directional repeaters for GSM networks out on the web (do a google on GSM Repeater) - which is interesting as our home is in a "fringe" area. a) Has anyone actually used one of these devices?

I read somewhere that if you send a text message via GPRS rather than GSM it doesn't cost anything. I have easyspeak which charges a dime per message. I finally found the option to change text messaging to GPRS and it does indeed appear to be free.

Received my latest T-Mo bill and realised i'm paying 22.7% in taxes! Wow! Is this normal, as in industry-wide practice? Also, is there any way to get taxes reduced? Would welcome suggestions from those who have tried.
