Modding a phone for Net Monitoring11 Aug 2004 01:28 GMT3
Does anyone know how to enable a Net Monitor mode on U.S. spec 1900 band GSM
phones, and which phones would let you do it?  Net Monitor or Net Watch mode
is that when the user sees the base station numbers, channels and signal

Amazon prices in T-Mobile corporate store?09 Aug 2004 19:39 GMT2
Have people been successful in getting the amazon.com prices when
buying a new phone at a T-Mobile company store?
I'd just buy from amazon, but I have a corporate account and I don't
believe amazon allows me to activate a new line on this type of
Need Inexpensive Speakerphone08 Aug 2004 01:11 GMT6
I'd like to get a used speakerphone that works on t-mobile.  Any
suggestions on one I could pick up on eBay?  I don't care about any
other features, since I'll put my SIM in my regular phone when I'm not
needing a speakerphone.
T-Mo in news, transfer TV/sports shows?07 Aug 2004 01:01 GMT3
I caught the tail end of a news article on the radio a couple days ago, but
didn't quite get the whole story. Something about T-Mo letting their
customers send TV programs/movies/sports via the Internet ("Regular"
Internet via pc/Mac?) (on the phone's Internet?), and the "movie ...

Our v60g was stolen early today, luckily the perp

AirCard 750 as Second Phone?05 Aug 2004 21:19 GMT3
Suppose I had a combination PDA+cell phone (like the forthcoming iPAQ
h6315) with a FamilyTime shared minutes voice plan and the $19.95
Unlimited Internet option. Can I add an AirCard 750 to this plan as
the second "phone" and share the main phone's voice minutes? Or am I

For the last few hours, my Samsung R225 has been "Searching..."  I've
driven around with it, but even when signal strength is indicated as a
full six bars, the phone doesn't lock on to it.  What could be causing
this?

The end of free t-zones....04 Aug 2004 12:57 GMT25

Just a few minutes ago I tried to access a WAP site I go to often, and
instead of what I was expecting I got: "Sign up for unlimited internet

Erroneous charges on latest bill04 Aug 2004 12:55 GMT2
On my latest bill, I found a $9.90 charge for a bunch of MegaTones and
wallpapers that I never downloaded.  I called Customer Care, and they told
me that "as a courtesy" they will credit my account this time, but I will be
liable for any such charges in the future.
Roaming charges for *not* receiving calls?04 Aug 2004 00:32 GMT9
With the Worldclass rates, how much does T-mobile charge for  (1) ringing
your phone without answering (Voicemail disabled),  (2) the caller to leave
a voice message (Voicemail enabled)   while overseas?

Is there data compression software available on Windows to reduce the number
of bytes transferred over T-mobile GPRS when surfing web (http)?

I have a new V300 and on most web sites I enter a error message comes back
stating "error 413 requested entity is too large". Some sites like Google
and text sites are OK. I use the phone to access  Internet direct no laptop
or PDA.
