GSM newbie here, late to the game.  My wife's just gone T-mobile, and I have a
couple of basic questions.
1. Phones are sometimes "locked" to a carrier?  To keep you in the fold?  And
if you drift by the cell store to unlock, are you a. committing a crime, or b.

A picture question...  We're new to GSM and new to T-Mobile USA.  She has a
basic plan, a temporary need to snap and transmit a few pictures, and a new
V600.
I note a 25cent no-contract picture-mail charge on the T-mobile site.  I

Did T-Mo start charging for international SMS?  They're saying they'll
charge me 15 cents per msg, and I have never been charged for international
SMS for the past 3 or 4 years!

I have had this problem for several months - I have an echo of my own voice
when calling local landline numbers.  I have no echo when receiving calls,

I thought their was a 850 mhz version of the sidekick 2 coming, any word if

it and with T-Mobiles great data plans a lot of people cant afford the

I recently purchased a Motorola V600 (unbranded, unlocked)  My service
provider is t-Mobile.  My problem is that the firmware on my phone is not
t-Mobile's version. So, when I attempt to download games I get an error.  Is
there anyway to get around this short of flashing/flexing ...
