Blutooth On A Phone: Practical To Leave It On 24-7?31 Dec 2005 03:38 GMT2
I just discovered that my new Palm TX purports to be able to dial an BlueTooth
or IR equipped phone.
My Nokia does neither and I suspect my v180's don't either.
So maybe I'll be shopping for a phone that does one or the other.
Why is this newsgroup still called "Voicestream"?29 Dec 2005 20:42 GMT13
This just occurred to me. It has been years now since Voicestream was bought
out by T-Mobile. A lot of people probably are not aware of that connection.
Many might look for a T-Mobile newsgroup, not find one, and assume that no
such NG exists.
Get More plan now GIVES More!28 Dec 2005 04:24 GMT18
The $39.99 for 1000 "Whenever" minutes has been expanded to 1500 minutes for
the same price. If you need it, $10 more adds unlimited nights & weekends. A
new 1 year commitment is required but that was fine with me.
Beware of "Fair Coverage Area"28 Dec 2005 03:51 GMT1
Beware of this cheesy company.  I recently moved to a new place in NJ.
According to the TMobile coverage map, my home and the several
surrounding blocks are in a "Fair" coverage area.   This "Fair coverage
area" is a nasty area to be in, the signal is too weak to make any

Text Message Problem22 Dec 2005 23:40 GMT3
On T-Mobile USA, Los Angeles area.
For years I have had alerts set up for several e-mail boxes. In other words,
I have the e-mail accounts configured on My T-Mobile, and have it set up to
send a text message to me (I have a bucket of 300 per month with my old
T-Mobile and McDonald's22 Dec 2005 20:43 GMT6
www.t-mobile.com/mcdonalds
McDonald's employees get $90 off equipment and get 30 days to cancel.
Someone told me anyone can take advantage of the corporate discount and
indeed, I didn't see anything stopping someone from ordering a phone
PEBL V6/U620 Dec 2005 02:35 GMT9
T-Mobile's webpage says the PEBL is "coming soon".
Does T-Mobile not do any spam/virus  protection16 Dec 2005 18:00 GMT3
Lately I've been getting the latest round of Sober viruses sent to my
phonenumber@tmomail.net account with the zip file and .exe included.
Obviously I'm at no risk as the file wouldn't run on my machine even
if I tried, but it is annoying. A simple virus scanner on TMo's end
GSM and TM/Cingular16 Dec 2005 06:27 GMT49
I have heard from many that TM's coverage is more limited than Cingular's
for the GSM world.   Would that mean that Cingular does not have a roaming
agreement with TM, its largest (so to speak) rival?

Unlocked phone problems on T-Mobile13 Dec 2005 16:17 GMT1
I bought an unlocked Ericsson T39 to use on my T-Mobile account. The
phone has an intermittent problem finding the network.  Most of the
time it shows "No network" message. When it does locate network, it
shows good signal strength (three-four bars). I spend most of my day at
are SIMs clonable these days?12 Dec 2005 21:50 GMT3
I may be a couple of hours out of date on this.
A friend (really, not me!) lost his phone a few
days ago. Quickly reported it to both the carrier
and then to the police precinct.
Weather radar, Internet and TM?10 Dec 2005 05:50 GMT6
Verizon Wireless has a service called Get It Now which provides
downloadable applications to most of its phones.  A couple such programs
permit the viewing of up-to-date weather radar for your area, including
the ability to zoom in pretty close to your general vicinity of the
Sidekick II ?09 Dec 2005 14:29 GMT1
Thinking of getting a Sidekick II and using it pay as you go just while I'm
on vacation instead of lugging around the laptop and paying for internet
access.  Does anyone have experience with the Sidekick good or bad?  Your
input would be appreciated.
V330 Bluetooth version?03 Dec 2005 19:11 GMT1
Anyone know if the V330's Bluetooth is compatible with version 1.1 or
1.2 devices?  I don't want to get a version 1.2 headset or dongle only
to not have it work with the phone due to version differences.
Regards,
