Quadband phones with EDGE and bluetooth? 29 Jan 2006 02:26 GMT3
Been recently looking at possibly replaicng my trusty T68i
with a quadband phone with edge and bluetooth. To my surprise
I couldn't find many phones with these specs. The two I found
are the Sony Ericsson W600, and the Samsung t809. If anyone here
How do I know if my connection is through GMRS or EDGE?28 Jan 2006 22:40 GMT1
Is guessing from the transfer speed only way to tell?
This is with a Sony-Ericsson card, not a phone.
The speed test at dslreports typically returns values between 160 and
120, but it has gone down to the 50's.
Terms and conditions question.26 Jan 2006 03:19 GMT3
I won't deny it -- I'm looking to end my T-Mobile service agreement in
an effort to hook up with a new plan under another wireless provider.
Over the past year, the service in my area has become significantly
shoddy both indoors and outdoors as well as my place of employment --
Grandfathered International Roaming26 Jan 2006 00:10 GMT8
It looks T-Mobile has fixed their web site so that you can look up
grandfathered international roaming rates again.  See:
http://www.t-mobile.com/international/roamOverview.asp
Now when I enter my phone number and hit GO, it tells me that I'm not
T-Mobile domestic SMS rate doubled25 Jan 2006 21:28 GMT1

Just read on T-Mobile's website that "Send and receive domestic messages for
just $0.10? each " and
"? Discounted domestic messaging rate (for US telephone numbers) of $0.05
Grrrr! Only 1 data plan available!23 Jan 2006 23:28 GMT2
I stopped at the T-Mobile store today to enquire about what options I
had for data plans when I get my Palm device.
I'd planned on just signing up for the $19.99  T-Mobile Internet
option again, as I had when I had my old PocketPC phone. No such luck.

Treo 600/650 and battery life?18 Jan 2006 04:02 GMT3
I may opt to switch to TMobile at the end of 2006 or start of 2007 when my
contract with VZW is up (Nov 2006).
If I do switch, I'd look for an unlocked Treo 600/650 and put the SIM from
TM's cheapest phone into the Treo.
Should I move to cingular?16 Jan 2006 15:52 GMT9
I am with tmobile since Omnipoint !:)
but looks like cingular starts offering
more features than TMo - push to talk,
rolling very high speed data very soon,
Expanded 850 Mhz coverage on T-Mobile15 Jan 2006 01:38 GMT3
Just wanted to point out to anyone that hadn't noticed that T-Mobile now
has a lot of 850 Mhz coverage in the USA through roaming agreements.
(This may be old news to some, but I just ran across it the other day
when checking http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/?class=coverage
Looking for a new phone14 Jan 2006 12:22 GMT7
My contract is about up and I'm looking for a new phone.  I have been
pretty satisfied with T--Mobile so I'll more than likely stay on.  I'm
looking at the Motorola V-360 and the Nokia 6101.  My priorities are:
1.  Ability to pull in the signal in weak areas,
why a charge for incoming SMS?11 Jan 2006 20:27 GMT1
On a recent trip to South Africa and Kenya, and on previous trips to the UK,
Ireland, and India, I noticed that cellular networks don't charge their
customers for incoming SMS. Why then do US cellular carriers charge their
customers? For one thing, why should I pay to receive an ...
What to say to get T-Mobile to unlock my phone?09 Jan 2006 04:59 GMT44
My contract is nearing its end. I'm told that I should have the phone
unlocked so I can sell it or take it to another carrier. I don't know
what I'm going to do, but I'll have more options with an unlock phone.
What do I say when I call in? What will they give me? A code to enter
Woohoo! razr's on the way!07 Jan 2006 03:05 GMT6
Called up tmobile this afternoon and renewed my contract, and now have
a new razr phone on the way. Should be here Wednesday. AND they've
upgraded my family plan from 400 to 500 minutes per month. Can't beat
that.
