Voice Mail & Cell Phone Both?19 Sep 2003 07:05 GMT3
I am looking for a phone flexible enough to (A) ring on
emergencies and (B) let the caller leave a message on
non-emergency situations, and I am not awakened
at 2:00 a.m. when I am snoozing peacefully.
Cingular GSM in Indiana19 Sep 2003 00:17 GMT5
I received some comments about my possibly going to Cingular GSM.
Cingular in in Indiana has better coverage than Verizon, especially in my

Virgin Mobile Questions18 Sep 2003 18:34 GMT5
Was curious about Virgin Mobile.  I know that they use Sprint's
network... but I was wondering how their customer service was.  What is
the quality of the phones they offer... which is the best?  I was
looking at the Audiovox 8500 Flip model in particular.

Extend America...Extending Technology to Rural Areas18 Sep 2003 14:56 GMT16
This was on today's local news.

I think that Extend America will quickly surpass all other wireless
carriers in this state.  After all, it's the only wireless company
T-Mobile is a nightmare18 Sep 2003 04:23 GMT4
I really can't say how much I hate the folks at T-Mobile. If you ever
have a customer service problem, forget getting any help at all.
The customer service reps and supervisors are like robots. They won't do
anything that isn't in writing. I have had many billing problems, many
Phone Echo17 Sep 2003 20:30 GMT7
I have just recently entered into the cell phone life.  I got a Verizon
service plan and a Kyocera 2325 cell phone.  I have noticed that, some
of the time, I hear an echo of my voice in the phone when I am using
it.  I don't know if there may be something wrong with the phone, or
Help. 7210 IR problem15 Sep 2003 00:34 GMT4
I had no problems transfering ringtones and images from my lap top to my
7210 via IR connection. That is until today. Now it says 'Failed to
update ring tone / image to phone'. I have checked the connection, it
works fine. No memory problem, because I still have more than 300 kb. I
GSM time slots: how long?14 Sep 2003 15:26 GMT2
I find lots of web pages that say GSM has 8 users (time slots) sharing a
channel, and IS136 has 3, but does anyone know how long (in fractions of a
second I guess) each "slot" is for either system?

any cingular, t-mobile or verizon phones with optical zoom?14 Sep 2003 08:58 GMT2
I am ready to ditch my AT&T service soon, they pulled the last straw
in getting rid of PocketNet service. I will probably will end up going
with either cingular, t-mobile or verizon. Would like a camera phone
with optical zoom more than digital. I know Radio Shack was
CDMA vs GSM indoors14 Sep 2003 02:33 GMT36
One of the reasons that I switched to Sprint was that my friend's sprint
phone would get perfect reception indoors while my AT&T GSM phone would get
no signal in the same place.  This seemed to be true in many indoor (and
outdoor locations.
Cellular Repeaters (in the USA)13 Sep 2003 21:28 GMT19
If you can get a usable cellular signal outside your building, but not inside
your building, a "cellular repeater" (sometimes called a "cellular booster")
may be able to solve the indoor coverage problem.
