TDMA 190030 Nov 2003 11:41 GMT5
I was just wondering.  Are there any carriers that use TDMA 1900 in the
United States?  All the areas I found were TDMA 800 areas.  I know that
Rogers (and later Rogers AT&T) in Canada use TDMA 1900, but is that it?
I've never seen a TDMA 800 only phone.

IIRC, as a percentage of the population the UK at one time was miles ahead
of the USA, when it came to owning mobiles...is this still the case?

Is the emergency call filtered at the mobile side or the network side?28 Nov 2003 04:38 GMT3
I've been wondering if the mobile station monitor the inputed No. to
determine if it's an emergency No. when there should be no SIM in the
handset, or the network is responsible in doing this. I tried 110,
which is an emergency No. in China, on a Motorola cellphone. But it
