BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Verizon Wireless bolstered its phone offerings as well as

I could use some help with Cingular SIDs30 Jan 2004 18:44 GMT3
I'm in the process of cataloging all active Cingular SIDs, but I came
across a few areas where I'm not sure whether the old SID is still
active or whether that market has been folded into another SID.  In

Sanyo RL250030 Jan 2004 01:40 GMT14
The Sanyo RL2500 (aka Sanyo SCP-5400) (sold for the SprintPCS Network)
is one great phone. After discount or rebate it goes for $150 (maybe
less if Retention gets into the act, or is bought from an independent
dealer, or you work for large company with discount agreement with

I am going to be traveling in various countries in Western Europe for about
a month and would like a cell phone. I have seen various deals here in the

I subscribed to a new wireless program at AT&T that was supposed to
have no upfront costs, but later found a charge of $32.09 for some
equipment that I didn't order (a battery charger to use in the car).
Of course it is impossible to reach a real person at AT&T wireless on

LG 6000 - data cable and software27 Jan 2004 04:20 GMT6
I just purchased the 6000. I understand the only way to transfer photos to
my home computer is to email them, and that can get expensive. Also, I would
like to be able to transfer phonebook entries from MS Outlook so I don't
have to enter them by hand. Lastly, I wouldn't mind being ...

"Free phone" advertising rant26 Jan 2004 10:06 GMT8
U.S. wireless providers have had for some time these "buy one phone
get one free" advertising campaigns. Of course, buried in the legal
fine print is "one year service contract required; early termination fee
applies to each phone". They all seem to do this (Verizon Wireless, AT&T,
Help! Motorola Phone & Awful Company--Verizon26 Jan 2004 02:50 GMT5
A year ago, I purchased what was then an expensive cell phone, depending on the
advice of the salesman at a Verizon store.  I purchased it at the last minute;
had ot put down a rather large deposit; and signed a bunch of things that I had
no time to read.
One good thing about cingular26 Jan 2004 01:17 GMT7
They sure are better about letting you get a new phone mid-contract.  Anyone
know the specifics of their policy?  A friend needed a new cingular phone
well within the contract period, and they sold them a new phone for the
regular activation price (plus a fascist $18, but better ...

Surprise large bill this month24 Jan 2004 00:27 GMT14
This month my ATTWS bill showed 1054 minutes of usage.  I never go
over my limit of 350 minutes per month so I was really surprised.  I
had a long talk with my kids about using my cell phone and they swear
they didn't make all these calls.  I had them check off the calls they
