CallPlus "amnesty"?16 Jan 2004 13:40 GMT5
I goofed.  I forgot to re-up my CallPlus prepaid account (that I use
as a "just in case I'm in the boonies and my 'real' phone doesn't
work").
It was due for refilling on Dec. 22nd, and I didn't think about it
bad weather signal16 Jan 2004 11:12 GMT4
2 years ago during a real bad snow storm all my friends had sprint pcs
could not get signal. I had my cheap ericsson rx 208 on AT&T with TDMA
service worked fine. My contract is up in march I think I may change
carrier. I want to know which is better in bad weather; sprint PCS, ...

The cellular license maps for the north-central (great plains) states

and we now have complete cellular license maps for the lower 48 states

AT&T Wireless . . . Early Termination Fee15 Jan 2004 15:55 GMT20
I've been an AT&T Wireless customer since they bought out LA Cellular in the
mid 90's. I had a TDMA account with them, which in most cases worked pretty
well. In the summer of 2002, I was having problems with my phone not being
able to place or receive calls. I would also get a NO ...

Radiation15 Jan 2004 03:28 GMT5
I listen to a Walkman radio for 6 -10 hours a day, the receiver in my shirt
pocket and earbud speaker in my ear.  Any danger from radiation?
Oops, your bill has an extra charge14 Jan 2004 19:21 GMT13
We all know that AT&T is worst at porting, SprintPCS is worst at
Customer Service and T-Mobile is worst in coverage, but has anyone run a
survey as to who has the most "oops" on the bill ?
Strange, but when billing "errors" occur its always in the companies

Panasonic X70 GPRS works fine with Palm Tungsten T214 Jan 2004 12:48 GMT5
I had read several postings about users struggling to get their X70's GPRS
function to work with their PDAs; but a sleepless night of experimenting I
can confirm that this works, at least for my Tungsten T2 and me, in
Singapore.  For the sake of convenience I am reproducing a guide ...
Locus Telecom launches Oxgen Wireless14 Jan 2004 02:07 GMT10
Locus Telecommunications has launched their new Oxygen Wireless service.  All
airtime is 19 cents a minute.    Other than the lower price, it looks like the
same deal as CallPlus Wireless or Locus Mobile.

Coolest new TDMA or PCS phone?  Please give suggestions13 Jan 2004 21:29 GMT1
My contract runs out next month and I will definitely want to get a new
phone and plan.  I live in northern California and all we have is TDMA and I
think sprint PCS.  I really want a Panasonic GD55 but it is a GSM phone.
So, any suggestions on a tiny phone?
Virgin Mobile USA customers - Are you having overcharging problems?13 Jan 2004 05:59 GMT26
I am having a re-occuring problem with Virgin Mobile USA.  Many times, I'm
getting overcharged an extra minute if it's close to the next minute. If I use
1 min 5 secs, it charges for 2 mins.  That's correct - the way it's supposed
to be. But if I talk for 1 min 54 secs, it's ...

Seattle, WA Carrier Recommendations 11 Jan 2004 19:41 GMT5
Moving there soon and wondering which carrier gets the best reception in and
around the Seattle area.  I'm currently with VZW but willing to acquire new
service instead of a new number under VZW.
Unlocking an AT&T  T68i11 Jan 2004 02:35 GMT4
Well, I was JUST about to post my T68i on Ebay when I noticed all the
ones posted on there stating they were "UNLOCKED" Well, long story
short, I looked into this not knowing what that meant, entered some
crazy codes and see (as far as I can tell) that my "network" is indeed
