| Data Support for Windows NT? | 31 May 2004 21:10 GMT | 1 |
I have a PC application that only runs under Windows NT. Upgrading to another OS is not an option. I need to access my companies server in emergency situations using this application. Normally, I just plug into an analog phone line. When a

| Sprint lamely plays "Its costly" card. | 31 May 2004 12:06 GMT | 24 |
Anytime Industry is asked to play nice they may play the "It's so costly" card. I'm old enough to remember 1993 when disaster was promised if the "Family Leave Act" was passed by Congress, Bush senior had vetoed it 3

| Cellular Industry's lame "Consumer Code" fails | 30 May 2004 13:34 GMT | 8 |
Last September the Cellular Industry adopted a "Consumer Code" which in many respects (IMHO) has been observed in the breach. Coverage maps that show no more than whitewashing whole counties as "covered" and ignore known dead zones continue. Contracts designed to trick customers ...

| ATTN: Nextel's unethical business practices | 30 May 2004 02:27 GMT | 8 |
I opened up a Nextel account in May of 2003 and signed a one year contract. Throughout the past year, I have struggled with dropped calls, poor reception and abysmal customer service. My contract ran up on May 14th and the next day I opened an account with AT&T wireless

| Stored phone number format question | 28 May 2004 16:45 GMT | 2 |
Some phone numbers require 1-NPA-NXX-LINE, others just NPA-NXX-LINE, and if the same area code in some locations, only NXX-LINE will be accepted. I have had cell phones that insisted on these distinctions, and could not dial stored local numbers while roaming. My current phone ...

| CDMA: Which frequency sounds better? | 28 May 2004 16:35 GMT | 3 |
All things being equal, does 800 mhz CDMA sound better than 1900 mhz CDMA? I recently moved from Vancouver where Telus used to only use 800 mhz, to Winnipeg where it defaults on to 1900 mhz. The sound quality on 1900 mhz is raspy and more disjointed. On the other hand the other ...

| Any U.S. Cellular users here? | 28 May 2004 16:28 GMT | 11 |
I was wondering how their service was and how their Customer Support rated? I constantly see them brag about superior customer service and stuff, and was wondering if anyone had any experience that would back that up.

The connector, used to upload and download names and numbers, on the few cell phones I've been able to test, use PC serial port methodology, and require a wire with electronics to be able to connect to the PC's USB port. Is this universally true? Are there any USB-only cell phones? ...

| T Mobile?Motorola Phone Misses Calls When On | 27 May 2004 01:47 GMT | 5 |
My Motorola Model 66 GSM on the T Mobile network will frequently miss calls, even though it is turned on and I'm in an open space in the Philadelphia area. Then, anywhere from a few minutes to a day later, the message the person left will pop up on my screen.
