AT&T Wireless to be reborn22 Jun 2004 18:10 GMT44
When and if Cingular acquires AT&T Wireless, they will soon thereafter
lose the right to use the AT&T name.
AT&T wants to again have its own Wireless brand (so as to have a full
suite of services to sell) (as does MCI).

Hands-Free Adapter - Better than "Speakerphone"21 Jun 2004 13:56 GMT2
I have just heard about the "Speakerphone" feature available on newer
cellphones.
Apparently, it is supposed to make in-car use simpler, clearer, and
safer.
I can't get my voice mail from France on ATT Wireless!21 Jun 2004 03:57 GMT2
I registered in advance to do this. I am pressing the plus sign and
the screen changes. But when I dial my cell number, I get a recording
telling me to dial my number again when I hear my welcome message. the
only problem is I never hear the message. It just keeps recycling the
Caller pays from U.S.21 Jun 2004 03:16 GMT4
Does "Caller Pays" apply when calling from landline phone in the U.S. to a
cell in Europe? Verizon said that it would cost almost $3.00 per minute from
home. They are our L.D. carrier.

Hands-Free Adapter working with Car Radio20 Jun 2004 05:37 GMT3
Anyone have any experience with this type of hands-free adapter?
Here's a description from one online catalog:
Just clip this device over any cell-phone earpiece, tune your FM radio
to 88.7 or 106.4, and listen to your calls through your car speakers!
Would anyone be interested in renting or leasing an Active Bag Phone ?20 Jun 2004 04:05 GMT1
I'm in dire need of an active Motorola bag phone or anyone who can
still hook one up.
I have a mobile ATM Machine and need a bag phone for an event. I can't
find anyone to hook one up for me.
WTB: cellphone from "Something's Gotta Give"19 Jun 2004 08:09 GMT7
In the movie Something's Gotta Give, Jack Nicholson uses a cell phone
while sitting on the second floor of his townhouse stairway.
It's an all-black (or dark gray) phone with straight sides.
It's very business looking.  No bright colors or curvy shapes.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR CELLPHONE AND SHOVE IT19 Jun 2004 03:19 GMT10
I attended a public festival last weekend and being part of the event,
I camped there.  The camping, as well as the festival were great.  The
idiots with the cell phones deserved to leave, if not be shot by a
firing squad.  First came the idiot who wandered over to my camp and
help me choose a phone18 Jun 2004 16:06 GMT1
I'll be signing up for US Cellular service tomorrow and have a choice of
phones.  I was hoping that people out there could help me decide which phone
to get.  I can choose between a Kyocera KX414 (free), Motorola C343 (free),
Motorola T731 ($50), and a LG VX4400 ($50).  So, of the ...

I'm planning to open Cell Phone Retail Store, any idea how much the

Experience and feedback greatly appreciated.
Ideas for getting rid of land line18 Jun 2004 08:18 GMT17
I'm finally ready to get rid of the old land line.
My wife and I have sprint phones and they work great in the house.  We
will give my wife's phone number as the primary home contact number.
She keeps her phone in the kitchen, charging, unless she is going out.
Pagers may be better than cell phones18 Jun 2004 06:23 GMT106
From newsgroup: news:tnn.comm.pager
What is a Pager or Beeper?
You probably have some idea since you are reading this, but a
definition is always a good way to be sure that we are talking about
Can't roam with Alltel Simple Freedom18 Jun 2004 06:19 GMT5
Before I got my Tracfone I had a Simple Freedom Nokia 5185i for over a
year. I was able to make and receive calls OK outside my home area

Applachian Wireless analog network in southeastern KY with three-stage
