When and if Cingular acquires AT&T Wireless, they will soon thereafter lose the right to use the AT&T name. AT&T wants to again have its own Wireless brand (so as to have a full suite of services to sell) (as does MCI).

is there a way i can sign up as a new customer to my cell provider so i can get the new subscriber deals. i want to upgrade my phone that is why i want to do this and the phones have deals on them if you are a new subscriber.

I have just heard about the "Speakerphone" feature available on newer cellphones. Apparently, it is supposed to make in-car use simpler, clearer, and safer.

Does "Caller Pays" apply when calling from landline phone in the U.S. to a cell in Europe? Verizon said that it would cost almost $3.00 per minute from home. They are our L.D. carrier. Marc

In the movie Something's Gotta Give, Jack Nicholson uses a cell phone while sitting on the second floor of his townhouse stairway. It's an all-black (or dark gray) phone with straight sides. It's very business looking. No bright colors or curvy shapes.

I'm finally ready to get rid of the old land line. My wife and I have sprint phones and they work great in the house. We will give my wife's phone number as the primary home contact number. She keeps her phone in the kitchen, charging, unless she is going out.
