been using Cricket for a short while now. Originally I thought I'd do
alright without the capability to receive email via sms, but it's really
starting to peeve me that cricket doesn't offer this feature. Any ...

I find the story "In-flight cell phones worked great in test"
http://www.usatoday.com/money/biztravel/2004-07-19-aircells_x.htm a bit
confusing or Kafkaesque. Didn't the hijacked plane passengers on 9/11/01 use
their cell phones? And that was three years ago. So what's new and
Excel Wireless Service = great! (READ THIS!)27 Jul 2004 17:10 GMT3
This was not over night. Excel has been in this business for 16 years.
The only reason some of you might not have heard of Excel is because
they do not advertise on TV/Magazines/radio, etc... They pay
Independent Reps to advertise for them.
64 Megabyte Motorola phone early next year?27 Jul 2004 15:11 GMT3
Apple will bring iTunes to Motorola Cell phones. At 3 to 4 Megabytes per

I have ATT cellular service here in Los Angeles.  I am about to go to
South Africa for 10-12 weeks and would love to learn what I could do
to avoid paying ATT's $1.29  (at least) for every outgoing and
incoming minute.  AT@T does not help with unlocking, I was told.

Prepaid phone, no monthly fee, minutes don't expire: any such thing in the US?26 Jul 2004 15:29 GMT8
Seems like the business model should work.
To wit:
- The provider gets the time value of money as long as the user has unused
prepaid minutes....the longer the time, the more the return
