Italy Prepaid SIM07 Jul 2004 01:33 GMT1
Can Italy Prepaid SIM cards (GSM) be purchased from outside Italy at a
reasonable price? The ones I have seen advertised are ridiculously
expensive.
Using a US T-Mobile Phone in Europe07 Jul 2004 00:40 GMT3
I'm shipping the wife off to Europe for 4 weeks and she would like to take
her T-Mobile phone to Europe.  The T-Mobile rep said that they can unlock
the phone then it can be used in Europe using an over-the-counter SIM.  Has
anyone heard if this will really work?  Does anyone know ...
Misc. questions/comments06 Jul 2004 23:34 GMT1
After 10 years of using an old Motorola analog dinosaur, I recently
decided to upgrade to something newer.  Unlike my old cell phone (which I
only occasionally used when a regular phone wasn't handy), the new ones
are finally a viable alternative to the traditional land line.  My
A Verizon disaster06 Jul 2004 17:27 GMT1
It doesn't seem possible that a company could be this incompetent, but
here's the ugly story (charitably abbreviated):
On Feb. 8, 2004, using telesales, I contracted with Verizon for a new
cellphone account, with two lines, one (phone A) to be ported from a
CallPlus finally cancelled me!06 Jul 2004 08:11 GMT7
As I've posted before in various CallPlus related threads, I've
intentionally let my CallPlus account lapse to see how far past the
expiry date I could go.
They finally caught up to me!  My last refill card officially expired

FAX-CELLULAR05 Jul 2004 02:50 GMT2
Is there anyway, I can setup Cell phone with Fax machine so I can receive
fax documents. I have a landline but whenever I receive a fax message my
parents keep lifting the phone to answer.
Thanks
Travel phone for stupid alien04 Jul 2004 21:55 GMT10
Hi! I couldn't find anything about my problem in this group, so I just hope
I'm at the right place. As indicated in the subject I have been in the US for
about 9 months now and I want to finish up my stay by an extended travel
period. So I bought a van in which I am going to live ...

US/Canada cell phone plans01 Jul 2004 17:28 GMT8
Can anyone recommend a cell phone plan for someone in the US who needs to
call Canada?  Ideally it would have coverage throughout the two countries
with long distance included, but I'd also be interested in any plan that
just has a low per minute long distance rate to Canada.
best mobile for $900-100001 Jul 2004 09:23 GMT21
Can I get your opinion on the best mobile for $900-$1000 (AUS)
currently available.
The following would be a nice wish list of spec's.

Can't get voicemail "new message(s)" indicator to work on Tracfone01 Jul 2004 04:45 GMT1
I recently (couple weeks ago) picked up a Tracfone Nokia 2285. Tracfone
activated it on the Alltel network where I live (suburban Cleveland, OH,
USA). I can't get the voice mail "new message(s)" indicator to work on
this phone. I have called Tracfone's customer service about this ...
