I'm shipping the wife off to Europe for 4 weeks and she would like to take her T-Mobile phone to Europe. The T-Mobile rep said that they can unlock the phone then it can be used in Europe using an over-the-counter SIM. Has anyone heard if this will really work? Does anyone know ...

Can anyone recommend a cell phone plan for someone in the US who needs to call Canada? Ideally it would have coverage throughout the two countries with long distance included, but I'd also be interested in any plan that just has a low per minute long distance rate to Canada.
