How do I get SMS on a laptop? Like through a web interface or
application. I dont have a cellphone but need to receive sms messages.
The service I need to get them from, gives me a provider and phone
number list. I would like this to be preferably free.

I have been spending most of this evening finding a good cell phone deal and

My Timeport doesnt work anymore.  I really liked it.  Everything on
eBay is Verizon.  My original cell provider warned me against used
CDMAs that were flashed.  I was told they tend to lock into their
original network towers.  Qwest nor Motorola doesnt sell them anymore.

Why do we all have to go out and buy new adapters, interfaces, etc.. as the

We've been a long-term Qwest Wireless subscribers in the Portland
suburbs & recently switched to their new network as "ordered".  Not
sure if it's Sprint PCS or Verizon (who I understand just made a deal

I ordered Motorola V66 unlocked phone off Ebay and received it a few days ago.
The phone has a serious problem with reception -- it's far worse than
my LG 4011 with the same SIM card and provider in the same location,
or indeed my wife's Siemens M56 with the same provider in the ...

I ruled out Cingular and Nextel because I have had both and wasn't
