Best signal penetration?08 May 2005 19:35 GMT1
Hi all, I work in a giant brick monstrosity, down in the concrete lined
basement with a zillion computers.  I also live in a brick building.  I'm
about to get my first cell phone.
I'm sure I can't get all the way to my desk at work, but what should I be

Unethical billing practice by Verizon08 May 2005 04:59 GMT12
Recently I moved to different part of the country.
I switched my phone service just one day after my
billing period ended, because previous a customer

How To Liberate ESN?07 May 2005 23:25 GMT3
OK, I want to change to CallPlus from AT&T/Cingular Free2Go.  My
AT&T/Cingular minutes just expired the other day.  Does that mean the
ESN on my TDMA phone is now automatically free?  Or do I have to fight
with AT&T/Cingular to get them to release it so I can then give it to
How to ID our cell tower?07 May 2005 14:47 GMT1
We have one cellular tower right outside our little town of St. Joseph,
IL.  Anyone know how I can find out whose it is or what I would need to
buy - or not buy - to access it?  Or would this make no difference to my
reception?  Thanks - cmb

Unlocking phones in Philippines?07 May 2005 05:15 GMT1
I was wondering if anyone here has had experience taking their
phone into a store over there to get it unlocked (to use a SMART or
GLOBAL sim card there)?  What brand & model was it, how long did it
take, and how much did they charge you?
A Motorola V60-what?07 May 2005 00:26 GMT2
A friend of mine gave me an older Motorola cell phone (says Cingular
on it) that has a Cingular Wireless 32k sim card in it.
Looking at the pictures on the home site, I was able to determine that
it is a v60 series phone, but I can't tell which one it is exactly.  I

Verizon vs Cingular coverage03 May 2005 14:32 GMT2
I need feedback about coverage quality on Verizon compared to Cingular; it's
what will make the buy decision for me clear. I don't care about cost;
coverage is my greatest concern. I travel mostly in the Midwest (Chicago
area) with trips to the East (Washington, New York). What's ...
Why no Sim Cards for CDMA02 May 2005 04:26 GMT28
Why are there no Sim cards for CDMA phones? It seems that the flexibility
offered by the GSM Sim cards could be implemented on CDMA phones also. Then
to switch phones, all you have to do is remove the Sim card from the old
phone and insert it in the new phone.
