Am considering canceling my regular home/landline phone service and home phone number, using my cell for all of my calls. Any pluses/minuses to going without a landline? Thanks.

We have a JRC (Japan Radio Company) cell phone- the old style that comes in a bag. Its a 3 watt model. The model is ICT 8820 or 8830. Seem to be similar phones. Im trying to determine if its a cdpd or gsm phone.

Until recently gobeyondwireless offered a prepaid tdma plan, with minutes that didn't expire (as long as you used 1 minute every 2 months. They have just stopped offering new activations, and are transitioning to gsm with expirations.
