New phone without "new activation?"30 Sep 2006 16:51 GMT6
Currently have a phone, Sprint month to month, and want to upgrade to a
newer model (Treo 700p).  Good price at buy.com, but a "new activation
is required."  Is it possible to buy a phone without activation?  My
question assumes "new activation" means I can't keep my existing
Podcasts and Alltel ???  Any updates?29 Sep 2006 17:57 GMT6
Anyone have an update on when Alltel will start providing Podcasting
services through their phones?  I'm sure I'll need to replace my
Motorola V265 in order to take advantage of this service, but just
curious on details.  They announced $3.99 a month or something like
TracFone Refer A Friend Program - Complaints28 Sep 2006 20:45 GMT2
I just had to go thru hell to get my free 120 minutes with their
Refer-A-Friend program.
Anyone else had problems?
I assume they often screw people when they can and I'm willing to
cell directory25 Sep 2006 15:13 GMT3
I never thought I would really really need a service such as this in my life
but I do and it involves about eight numbers. These sites that offer this
for big fees seem to be so prolific that I figure they all got a hold of
some utility that I can get too and look up my own ...

Ok my Verizon cell phone died. How do I get a new phone without
extending my contract. Verizon has almost flat out said they won't sell
me a phone. So where do I get a new phone without a plan attached????
Affordable GSM phone for low-reception areas?21 Sep 2006 20:09 GMT9
I have T-Mobile and the basement apartment situation... the apartment
is cool, but you know what happens with reception...I get about 1 bar
throughout the place.
Suprisingly, I can actually complete calls with my Motorola C650, but I
Information Regarding TracFones21 Sep 2006 06:24 GMT6
I've been trying to start a TracFone for the past few days and it seems
to be hopeless. It shows a phone number now, but all I get is a voice
mail message when I call it from a pay phone.
Also, the help line seems to always have a busy signal. Does the
Tracfone minutes for sale20 Sep 2006 16:49 GMT1
I've recently switched service from Tracfone to Sprint. I've got over
600 minutes on a Tracfone that I have no use for and would like to
sell. Minutes can be transferred from phone to phone so make me an
offer and we can work out the details.
Message from tracfone security?20 Sep 2006 15:47 GMT2
Hi all! I received an email to the email address that I have registered
with tracfone. Text of the message is below.  Attached were three
documents of court filings.
I had purchased some tracfone airtime on ebay in 2005, from a user
Tracfone Nokia 110020 Sep 2006 15:40 GMT8
I bought a Nokia 1100 Tracfone about a year ago.  I am concerned that
some phones are said to be becoming obsolete in 2008.  Can someone who
knows more than I on this issue advise me on this?

why no name with caller id number?19 Sep 2006 06:28 GMT17
The phones I've had and those of some friends all just show a number
for caller ID but not a name. On my home phone these same callers will
show with name and number. Is it certain phones, or certain services,
or the whole cell/mobile system that drops the name? And why? Caller ID
Amazing cell phone tricks19 Sep 2006 03:52 GMT4
Amazing cell phone stuff, pass it on:
1. The worldwide emergency number is 112 and it even works if the
keypad is locked!  It searches for any network's emergency number.
2. Locked your keys in the car?  Have a remote?  Call home, hold your
best rates?  considering switching carriers.....19 Sep 2006 01:08 GMT3
Hi, I'm actually an ATT Wireless subscriber, on the TDMA network.  My
rates are decent - 1,300 minutes for $60 with nights starting at 7pm.
I'm out of contract so I pay month to month.   I live in NYC and use
the phone almost always within that calling area.  I know TDMA is
Logs of calls made/received not accurate18 Sep 2006 19:55 GMT2
Does anyone else have this problem - when you make calls to or receive
calls from the same number, does your phone not log in each and every
call?
If your phone does like mine does, it drops all but the most recent
