Just now talked to customer care and the guy said that in November Cingular
will start their OWN GSM towers along NY \ NJ area. Seems like no more loosy
T-Mobile coverage for cingular customers.
P.s. Someday my phone will work in my basement :)

I am in Palm Beach County, FL.  My current Family Plan contract with
Cingular ended last week.
I have today negotiated an attractive Family Plan with Cingular as part of
their "retention" efforts.

While talking to my neice I thought about something. I live on an
Island Town, and across the river is Canada. In some areas of town my
phone reads "Cingular Extend" due to the fact that it is picking up a
tower in Canada instead of the 5 towers on the Island.

Is this the only GAIT phone that Nokia makes?

Cingular service in NH has not been working for a week now. It is out state
wide with no estimated time for resuming service.

I'm a Verizon Wireless user, but I'm considering switching to Cingular due
to their rollover minutes and GSM network (thus being able to use my phone
in Europe).
Anyway, I wanted to know what the overall feeling is towards Cingular. How

are there phones other than the ones showed on the cingular page that are
compatible in the massachusetts area?  if so, does it have to be TDMA or GSM
(no clue what that even means) and how would one go about activating a phone
that was not bought through cingular.

Sooo many posts about Nokia & Ericsson but I want feedback on the
Siemens A56.  Particularly the RF performance and the sound
quality/volume?  I'm a basic user and not into the advanced features
yet (but ya never know...)

Does Cingular have any phone that will allow you to either leave a
voicemail or send a numeric page?

AT&T has just changed it's TDMA SID in Nashua/Manchester NH (perhaps all of SNH)
from 4201 to 1631 (IIRC that SID is licensed somewhere in PA).  Not sure if AT&T
is now using wide-area SIDS or this was a big mistake.
Cingular uses U.S. Cellular as its roaming partner in southern NH. ...

I have a SE P800 and have tried forever and still can get GPRS internet to work
on my phone. I have the wireless internet express. My question is do you have
to sign up to Cingulars My Wireless Window for GPRS to work on my phone. and if
anyone else has has the same problem how did ...

Forgive me if this is a common question, but I have a Nokia 6340i
phone and want to swap to the Samsung S307.  Can I just purchase the
S307 off of the internet and pop in my SIM card or is there more to it
