NY \ NJ COVERAGE WITH OWN TOWERS27 Jul 2003 02:31 GMT8
Just now talked to customer care and the guy said that in November Cingular
will start their OWN GSM towers along NY \ NJ area. Seems like no more loosy
T-Mobile coverage for cingular customers.
P.s. Someday my phone will work in my basement :)
What is schedule for Cingular to start GSM service in South FL26 Jul 2003 00:32 GMT5
I am in Palm Beach County, FL.  My current Family Plan contract with
Cingular ended last week.
I have today negotiated an attractive Family Plan with Cingular as part of
their "retention" efforts.
Coverage areas26 Jul 2003 00:06 GMT1
While talking to my neice I thought about something. I live on an
Island Town, and across the river is Canada. In some areas of town my
phone reads "Cingular Extend" due to the fact that it is picking up a
tower in Canada instead of the 5 towers on the Island.

Cingular Satisfaction & Coverage24 Jul 2003 21:04 GMT8
I'm a Verizon Wireless user, but I'm considering switching to Cingular due
to their rollover minutes and GSM network (thus being able to use my phone
in Europe).
Anyway, I wanted to know what the overall feeling is towards Cingular. How
phones w/ cingular24 Jul 2003 11:03 GMT4
are there phones other than the ones showed on the cingular page that are
compatible in the massachusetts area?  if so, does it have to be TDMA or GSM
(no clue what that even means) and how would one go about activating a phone
that was not bought through cingular.
Siemens A56--anybody using it?24 Jul 2003 02:23 GMT4
Sooo many posts about Nokia & Ericsson but I want feedback on the
Siemens A56.  Particularly the RF performance and the sound
quality/volume?  I'm a basic user and not into the advanced features
yet (but ya never know...)
Voicemail/Pager23 Jul 2003 23:53 GMT2
Does Cingular have any phone that will allow you to either leave a
voicemail or send a numeric page?
Telling if Cingular service in one's area is 800Mhz or 1900Mhz?23 Jul 2003 22:54 GMT3
Greetings all,
As I'm on the fringe of Cingular's service in my area, I'm considering
investing in a powered cellular amplifier for my home[1]
[1] Evidentally one installs a semi-directional antenna outside pointing
AT&T's SID change screws Cingular users in Southern NH23 Jul 2003 01:04 GMT2
AT&T has just changed it's TDMA SID in Nashua/Manchester NH (perhaps all of SNH)
from 4201 to 1631 (IIRC that SID is licensed somewhere in PA).  Not sure if AT&T
is now using wide-area SIDS or this was a big mistake.
Cingular uses U.S. Cellular as its roaming partner in southern NH. ...

S307 off of the internet and pop in my SIM card or is there more to it
than that.  This is all very new to me, so forgive the ignorance.  Any
