How do I do this?

I have a couple of Cingular phones that I'm no longer using.  Can I simply
walk into a store, buy a sim and open a pre-paid account with one of these
phones?  Anything else to it?  Thanks in advance.

I'm in a low reception area for everything I guess. Cingular GSM comes
through okay.

What is the best gadget phone for cingluar.

I've got a Motorola T720 on Cingular's GSM network. As I'm in the
suburbs of San Francisco, I occasionally suffer from dead zones in
Cingular's network, while AT&T Wireless seems to consistently have GSM
coverage where Cingular does not.

I see that it has different ISP's pre-installed on this phone. Does
that mean I can get SBC internet access on my wireless phone instead

I have a question... I recently signed up with Cingular, and voicemail
wasn't activated on my account until yesterday, and while playing around I
noticed that while on Cingular Extend (on AT&T) if someone calls me and goes
to voicemail they are prompted to enter the 10 digit number ...

I picked up the T720 from Cingular yesterday, and was disappointed to find
out, after spending $5.50 on downloads, that I couldn't retrieve any of them
since I don't have the GPRS service. Why Cingular didn't mention to me, in
the store, that having GPRS is necessary to retrieve ...

Finally there will GSM service and phones should be available August
1st in the St. Louis market according to a Cingular rep.
