Unlimited Incoming calls11 Jul 2003 00:43 GMT2
What do you think the chances of Cingular setting up a plan that
offers free incoming calls? I see they did it in some areas as a
promotional thing, but do they have any plans of keeping it as a perm.
option?
Some incoming calls only blink "CALL" instead of CALLERID on my 6340i.10 Jul 2003 17:29 GMT1
On my previous cingular phone (a 6120) every incoming call showed a
CALLERID unless the caller had blocked his number.  And if the number
was already in my phone's phonebook, then the caller's name showed up
along with his number.
can an analog modem be connected to a Cingular GSM phone?10 Jul 2003 11:55 GMT2
Can the TTY/TDD adapter be used to connect a modem to the Nokia 3595?  If
so, what modem speed can be achieved?  I believe that normal TTY/TDD speeds
are 300 or 1200 bps but the limit would be the frequency response of the
connection.

Cingular Nation09 Jul 2003 19:12 GMT10
I have an old Cingular Nation plan - it is the 500/3500 for $49.99 plan.
Cingular now offers a 500/5000 Nation plan with rollover for $55.00 (I also
plan on upgrading to the Sony Ericsson t62u GAIT phone).  Would the only
difference between my current Nation plan and the new one ...
Cingular gave away my new number!!!09 Jul 2003 17:35 GMT4
I just moved from Boston to Palm Springs and contacted Cingular's relocation
department one month prior to my move date to setup service in the new
location.  I was given a new phone number and ordered a new phone that would
work with the GSM network in California.  I was told by ...
Cingular and use of V60i as modem09 Jul 2003 16:25 GMT1
The V60Ti is a TDMA phone that is data capable.  You need the Data Connect
feature on your account since this is *digital* (not analog) data service over
TDMA.  Since you already have the cable, I recommend you get Cingular's "Data
Connect Kit with Quick Link Mobile software" ($19 ...
GSM Conversion Lousiana09 Jul 2003 15:42 GMT5
I will be going to Louisiana for a trip next week, and I know that the last
time I was there (in December), I could not get a signal on my phone. I have
a GSM phone and was in a TDMA area. I will be about an hour away from
Alexandria, LA, where there is a Cingular store. I looked on ...
Problem with ISP DialUp with my T62u09 Jul 2003 07:49 GMT2
I'm having trouble establishing a dial up connection to my ISP over my
T62U.   I'm on Cingular's TDMA network.  I have made this work in the
past with this phone, but it doesn't want to work now.
Here is what happens:

Nokia 6800 with Cingular (Orlando, FL market)08 Jul 2003 12:27 GMT1
I currently have a Nokia 6340i with Cingular. My plan is the old nation
plan, $69.99 for 850 mints and unlimited message, no charge. My market is
the Orlando area.
I want to keep this plan and also want to buy the new Nokia 6800, (GSM only
Future Coverage? 08 Jul 2003 05:29 GMT4
When Cingular lists an area as Future Coverage on a GSM coverage map,
Generally how long is it before that market goes GSM?  New Orleans, and
most of the state of Louisiana is now highlighted green on the new GSM
nation calling maps
Cell Phone Comparisons/Ratings08 Jul 2003 02:43 GMT1
Does anyone know of a site that just compares the "PHONES" themselves
without all the hoopla about cell phone plans?  I really need to compare
some phones.  Thanks, Jamie
