| How fast is GPRS | 07 Jul 2003 08:27 GMT | 1 |
I am thinking of going with Cingular or another GSM provider due to the fact they have the latest phones with blue tooth built in. Looking at SE T616 or Siemens s56 to connect to an IPAQ 2215 and an Acer TM800 notebook via blue tooth.

| Boston-Native or Roam | 07 Jul 2003 01:22 GMT | 8 |
I was wondering if Cingular's GSM coverage in Boston is GSM or do they have a roaming agreement with another company there? Also, if you get the National plans, do they have sufficient roaming agreements to make their GSM a feasible alternative to a CDMA plan like Verizon's AC ...

| Can I use Samsung SPH-I330 with Cingular? | 06 Jul 2003 20:26 GMT | 3 |
I like the form-factor of this PalmOS phone, and I am wondering if I can use it on the Cingular network. If I bought one of them, 1) Would it take my current phone's SIM chip? 2) If it accepts SIM chips (or even if it doesn't), will it

| Nokia 1261 = Crap??? | 06 Jul 2003 17:10 GMT | 2 |
I have a 1261. I only had it since March 2003 and it crapped out on me. Tried to replace under warranty but all local stores are sold out of these phones. I replaced it with a 3560 which cost me $130. Is it normal for a Nokia to just crap out like that? The phone started dropping ...

| Clueless: Need small phone w/ reception | 04 Jul 2003 16:17 GMT | 3 |
My 8000 series Nokia w/Cingular shorted out. I planned to replace with a similar phone. I'm now totally confused. I liked the size of my old phone and was relatively pleased w/reception. I now purchased a 6590i and have much worse reception. Cingular tells me it is due to the ...

| t62u, SMS and eMelody emails to my phone | 03 Jul 2003 14:34 GMT | 2 |
Technical question. For those who respond to my questions about the True Nation yesterday, thanks, and I did upgradde to the GAIT phone -- so far it's OK, and I noticed that the t62u is snappier than the t61 but the call quality even in GSM is about the

| GSM service in Detroit | 03 Jul 2003 05:59 GMT | 2 |
I was wondering if anyone has experience with Cingular's GSM service in southeastern michigan. I have heard that the call drop rate is quite a bit larger than with their TDMA service. I am excited about the Samsung s307 phone, but am wary about the GSM service. Any

| Are Cingular and T-Mobile Contracted wth Each Other? | 03 Jul 2003 04:52 GMT | 1 |
Today I was comparing Cingular and T-Mobile Plans and noticed that T-Mobile showed a great deal of the US in the color for no coverage. When I called them the customer service rep said if I was in an area where T-Mobile had no coverage, I could just link on to a Cingular tower

| What is coverage experience with Cingular GSM dual band handsets | 03 Jul 2003 03:04 GMT | 1 |
The Cingular GSM/GPRS dual band handheld Preffered Nation map looks pretty sparse but I was told that contracts were in place to provide GMS/GPRS coverage accross the nation by using other carrier systems. I would appreciate comments from non GAIT phone users on actual coverage

| overall service Cingular wireless in NYC and all other places in the US | 03 Jul 2003 02:02 GMT | 7 |
I have been thinking about taking Cingular wireless service. I have done some research on the net (including this group). I understand that Verizon happens to be the most reliable of all followed by others like Sprint, T Mobile, Nextel and some where down the list is Cingular
