Cingular vs Verizon - New England - Now with GSM27 Aug 2003 02:20 GMT2
I've been a Cingular customer way back from the Cellular One days.  In most
of New England (CT, MA, RI, southern NH, and southeastern ME) the service
is excellent.  I run into problems in SF, and NYC.  Reading the threads, I
see the problems in NYC.  I surmise that GSM would help ...

pre-programed into the Cingular phones? I inadvertantly erased it.
Nokia 7650 and Cingular service in Los Angeles26 Aug 2003 16:55 GMT2
I am considering purchasing a Nokia 7650.  It claims to have EGSM 900, GSM
1800, and GSM 900/1800 dual-band networks; automatic switching between
bands.  Will I be able to use the photo features on the Cingular network?
Thanks in advance.

Counting down to GSM.26 Aug 2003 06:38 GMT4
So a couple of GSM launches are supposedly taking off in less then a
couple of weeks. Anyone feel that many of the markets might be pushed
back again with their launches? I know that the Cingular GSM system in
San Antonio has been 'up' for some time. When they offically launch

Cingular Stores Pocketing Sales Tax?25 Aug 2003 23:20 GMT6
When I upgraded my phone recently, the sales tax was calculated on the
"retail" value of the phone (249.99), not the actual (discounted)
price (149.99). I have never encountered this. The state only requires
tax on the transaction amount, not a fictitious "suggested" amount.
GSM Austin25 Aug 2003 06:52 GMT2

Austin, TX market. If it's not officially launched (Im sure it's not),
how do i set the phone to use barred cell sites? Thanks for any tips on
this.

Cingular or Verizon is the question?23 Aug 2003 15:47 GMT10

Cingular Nation GSM22 Aug 2003 21:21 GMT1
look on cingulars website.. i see that they have new plans called cingular
