Sunday, 1:30 AM, my car died. It blew a spark plug from a recent tune up. Later on that day I called a tow truck. Not only did they know that I was on a cell phone but they knew my location before I even said anything.

Verizon has great phones and plans.... Cingular has one advantage, it owns my cell phone number which I don't want to lose. Verizon tells me it is ready for the Wireless Number Portability Act in late nov, but Cingular will not be able (in all liklihood) to give up my number.
