Cingular MMS is reportedly up and running as of Oct 1, 2003, with a promotion
of unlimited MMS messages through the end of the year for $3/mo.  (You do
apparently need to subscribe to MMS for it to work!)

I have a Nokia 3360 (I think that is it) that has IR access, which I use in
conjunction with the Visor Prism.  I use the phone as both a modem (although
it only work where Verizon has network access, for some reason) as well as
just to transfer contact information.

I am nearing the end of my current contract and will be upgrading my
phone soon.  Currently I am using a Nokia 3360 on a TDMA/Preferred
Nation plan (home is Alabama), but am intrigued by the "cool factor"
of the flip feature of the Motorola V60i.  

I am thinking of upgrading my phone from my current 3360.  I notice that all
of the new "more cutting edge" phones in the show room do not list service
with Amps or TDMA systems.  Only GSM/GPRS.
