International Roaming04 Oct 2003 15:10 GMT9
I am an east coast Cingular customer. I will be going to Europe this
weekend. I have a Nokia 3650 and I have International Dialing and
International Roaming on my account. What are the chances my phone
will actually work? Cingular CS said they don't know for sure but
Dallas/FW GSM is live/unbarred04 Oct 2003 00:04 GMT14
Sort of anyway.  Came up yesterday morning (10/1) for several hours,
then the phone switched back to TDMA for rest of the day.  Guess they
had a glitch or two or three.  Back on GSM this morning.  One benefit,
the Nokia 6340i instantly "finds" GSM when you turn it on versus 30
Cingular GSM Failure03 Oct 2003 13:06 GMT9
Cingular's GSM network went down, at least here in Atlanta on Friday and
didn't come up again until Sunday afternoon.  Their customer support said it
was a nationwide network failure.  In any event, it left the phones useless
during that period.
Antenna question?03 Oct 2003 06:40 GMT8
In looking at new phones, I have to ask are there any pros or cons on
antennas?  The Siemens SL56 is an internal antenna.  The Samsung SGH-S307
has the more conventional stub antenna. Can either phone be used with a true
external antenna (magmount on top of car) if necessary for ...

Primarily in large cities.  I have the T720 and I can't keep track of the times I have had to recall

I'm thinking about trading my V60T in on a T720, my question is will the
T720 work everywhere my V60 does?
I get good coverage out of the V60, but am thinking about the upgrade and
will the T720 work on the TDMA network?
T62U TDMA feature02 Oct 2003 14:28 GMT1
With AT&T you have to go through the Extra's menu, select the AWS
server, update MIN, enter 00000, and enter your obtained MSID-MIN # from
AT&T all the manually the TDMA function of their T62U.  Until then it
will not work properly on TDMA.

Word from east side.01 Oct 2003 18:43 GMT1
Regarding last weekend's GSM failure- folks on GAIT and TDMA are
reporting that their phones worked just fine.  It was not messed up by
this system wide failure.
I stand corrected.  I had ass-umed that because GAIT phones were
T62U holster solution01 Oct 2003 16:06 GMT3
Both Cingular and AT&T denied having any leather holsters for this phone
so I ordered a plastic carrier from Sony Ericsson.  Problems immediately
became apparent.  Although it is designed to put so you can talk with
the cell phone in the holster this is very uncomfortable.  The top ...
