OK, heres the thing. I was told on the Cingular network I need to have the codes on my account for data calls before I can use my phone as a modem. We do have the "Pay per use" option on WIE in my area, however I don't plan on using WIE.

Cingular salesperson says their GSM coverage has to be much better than AT&T 's GSM coverage everywhere because if Cingular can't find their own service they will roam to AT&T or TMobile (with no roaming fee) but AT&T won't roam to Cingular.
