Hey folks, I've got a three week old Cingular 6340i that for some reason
doesn't seem to want to go to Cingular GSM in a known good GSM area.  Of
course, there's no indication of this on the screen, but the phone is
greyed-out on forwarding fax calls, says MUTE instead of HOLD on ...

Can someone tell me why I get the hourglass on my Samsung SGH X427, as if it

Hello fine folks...I've noticed that when my phone is in analog mode, the
battery doesn't last as long, and it seems to warm up quite a bit...am I nuts,
or is that plausible? (have 6340i) Thanks,

What Band GSM?29 Dec 2003 22:22 GMT17
Can anyone tell me if Cingular's GSM is 800 or 1900?  Is it the same system
wide, or area specific?  I am in Central Indiana, and it seems to be 1900,
but I can't get a straight answer locally.

WTF is Up with Cingular in Chicago?29 Dec 2003 17:30 GMT3
I have a national plan with Cingular; my account is in SoCal. I've been in
Chicago the last week, and every time I turn on the phone or wake it up from the
screen saver, it's asking me if I want tp update the clock - EVEN THOUGH THE
CLOCK IS ALREADY UPDATED.
Opinions needed! T616, or Nokia 3600?29 Dec 2003 13:26 GMT4
Both would be an upgrade from my Sprint Samsung SPH-A500 and weights don't
make a difference and their sizes seem pretty negligible compared to my
A500. And price isn't a factor for me.
I guess it boils down to which phone has the most fun factor. I'd like to be

mistaken?  If this was the case could a tri-band phone that included
GSM 900/1800/1900  be used here in Dallas our would I have to find a

GAIT = 1 TDMA and 1 GSM Phone?26 Dec 2003 21:01 GMT2
A question has been plaguing me this holiday season.  GAIT phones use
