Please help with suggestions31 Jan 2004 23:33 GMT6
I have a Motorola V60 something.  My plan with Cingular is the "old" nation
plan, no roaming, no long distance, 150 daytime minutes.  Coverage is good
across the U.S.  I want to upgrade my phone and perhaps take advantage of
the roll over option.  Here is my dilemma, the phone and ...

I'm in the Austin, TX market and have the SE T616 GSM phone at the
moment. The phone is cool, the features are nice. I could care less
about the camera, although it's nifty. I love the bluetooth though.
However, the service is not so wonderful. Cingular had finally gotten

They're both nice phones. Which one would you recommend, and why?
MOT720 is $159 - $50 rebate - $50 phone trade in = $50.
SAMSUNG X427 is $130 - $50 rebate = $80.
I plan to keep the chosen phone for 2-3 years.

Does anyone know if older sim cars cannot be used with GPRS? On my

Why is Unlimited Nights and Weekends limited to 5000 minutes28 Jan 2004 19:28 GMT217
I am an NYC Taxi driver and cell phone forms an integral part of my life as
it keeps me sane during traffic jams, bad customer, telling what airport is
busy, keeping in touch with my family and all those lonely nights on the
streets of Manhattan

Are there resellers of Cingular service, similar to Working Assets being
a reseller of Sprint service?
And is there any way for an ordinary person to get a Cingular discount,
similar to the 5-10% discount for union members?

Relative nooby looking to upgrade my service plan.  Is there any advantages
to making this transaction online as opposed to the local store?
Financially it looks better online but just want to make sure I don't miss
anything.
