Ripped Off Again by Cingular Wireless Voice Mail Deposit29 Feb 2004 00:51 GMT10
Yes, I got another fraudulent bill from Cingular Wireless. This time
they tried to charge me $37.60 in fraudulent "Home Charges" due to their
bogus "Voice Mail Deposit" charges.
If you have charges for Voice Mail Deposit, e-mail me.
How to SMS to an email address?28 Feb 2004 23:15 GMT4
I used to be able to send and SMS to an email address with T-Mobile. I think
I put the email address in the first line of the text, but I forget. Is
there a way to text to an email address (not a phone number) with Cingular?
Cingular, ATTWS or Verizon  in washington, D.C??28 Feb 2004 21:24 GMT2
I'm attracted to Cingular/ATTWS because of their Sony Ericcson phones;
however, does verizon have a much better service in the area?  I do not like
their range of phones.
Given the merger, is it better to go with ATTWS or Cingular now, or does it
Cingular WAP browsing and Sony Ericsson28 Feb 2004 04:59 GMT9
I've noticed (and another person has reported) that I cannot access SE's
WAP site (www.sonyericsson.com/fun or wap.sonyericsson.com) from my Z600
(or other WAP-only) phones.  This is a relatively recent development and
I can still access all my other web sites.

Initial Battery Charge27 Feb 2004 00:47 GMT6
Anyone know the proper way to get a new battery off to a good start?  I have
a new Samsung x427 coming with a standard battery.   I've heard that you can
impact the length of time a battery will hold a charge by how you charge it
the first time.  I you know how this works, please ...

Has anyone recently ported from Cingular to T-Mobile?  Or does anyone
know rough turn around time currently?  I have 2 friends planning on
porting in the forcible future.
Thanks/Regards

in the phone, but I cannot set the MP3 to be a ringtone.
Suggestions?

Should I switch from NEXTEL to Cingular?26 Feb 2004 21:02 GMT9
My contract with NEXTEL expires in January and am considering
switching to another provider.  One that I am looking at is Cingular.
Can anyone give me their 2 cents worth on them and which would be the
best phone to get if I do switch.  Not interested in camera, etc.
Mobitex data service - prices & availablity?26 Feb 2004 02:47 GMT8
Does anybody have a clue what the prices are for the Cingular Mobitex data
service? Or how to order it?
Their stupid idiotic website says that there is "excellent" coverage in
Caro, MI (48723), but there is nowhere to order the service anywhere on the
$9.99 Family Line Going Away25 Feb 2004 18:57 GMT11
Just an FYI for anybody considering Family Talk w/Cingular. I saw
something on PhoneScoop the other day, and Cingular's ad in my morning paper
seems to confirm it, that the $9.99 price for a second phone on a Family
Plan is going away January 31. It did not say what the new rate ...
Sony T630?24 Feb 2004 19:08 GMT10

Internet Via IR/Bluetooth on Siemens S5624 Feb 2004 05:30 GMT5
I recently purchased a Siemens S56 from Cingular,  and was wondering
what the settings were to get my Palm to connect to the internet
either via IR or Bluetooth.  (I don't think the method matters, just
the settings).  I don't have the internet express, but the other

I will be traveling to Poinciana (south and slightly west of Kissimmee) in a
couple of weeks.  I was wondering what the GSM coverage is like in that
area?  I will be staying near Cypress Parkway and Marigold Ave.
