Motorola V400 recall19 Feb 2004 01:23 GMT4
Was told today that the V400 has a recall on it for the buzzing with a
headset problem. Also, Motorola is aware of a problem with battery life. My
battery lasts no more than 20 hours even if I don't make a call...

GSM Phone on GAIT Plan?18 Feb 2004 21:45 GMT8
If I sign up for a GAIT plan, is there any reason I could not take the SIM
card from the GAIT phone and use it in another GSM-only Cingular handset?  I
travel in some rural areas that require TDMA/Analog for good coverage, but I
mostly live in a pretty good GSM region at home / ...

My phone has the ability to send an e-mail, or a text message (Nokia

account, or will it be my phone number @ mycingular.com ?
Plan Changes?17 Feb 2004 03:27 GMT1
In the process of evaluating a move to Cingular from ATT, I visited a local
retail store to ask a few questions.  One question I had was whether or not
I could change plans during the contract period, for example, if I start
with a GSM plan, can I change to a GAIT plan if the ...

FamilyShare GAIT question....15 Feb 2004 00:00 GMT1
This isn't clear from the web info (at least to me!); but if  I sign a deal
for 2 lines on the Familyshare GAIT / Cingular Nation plan, can I drop one
of the lines before the 2 years is up without a penalty?  I believe other
carriers consider this a "plan change" and not an early ...
Which network?13 Feb 2004 21:04 GMT3
I just got a new GAIT phone (Nokia 6340i) and am curious to know if
there's a way to tell which network it choose for a particular call.
I'm not concerned about changing it or forcing it or anything, just
interested in knowing whether I'm GSM, TDMA or Analog.  What the heck.
Spilled Stuff on Nokia 6340i13 Feb 2004 02:38 GMT2
We spilled something on our Nokia 6340i and it quit working. Cingular
wants us to pay $120 for a new phone. Do we have any other options? Is
it possible to buy reconditioned phones or repair this? Thanks.
Call from my phone to another phone on my account, double minutes?13 Feb 2004 02:21 GMT4
Howdy,
I have two phones on my account.  If I call from my phone to the other on my
account, do I use twice as many minutes on my account? (i.e. phone A and B
are charged minutes)?
Need a GSM phone that would also work in rural areas13 Feb 2004 01:09 GMT15
I'd like to find a GSM phone that would also work in less populated areas:
like on skiing trip in Utah, for example. Doesn't it mean that analog
roaming support is required? My carrier is Cingular. Also, abot so-called
GSM World phones: ones with triple or quad band GSM - do they ...
