I am going to ask a very loaded question.I have been with Cingular
forever.I am not interested in camera phones,web
browsing,email,messeging or any of that.I just need to replace my
phone.I have a 3360 Nokia that is slowly dying.

I am with Verizon right now and am thinking about changing over next

AT&TW and Cingular are going to "merge", but then again there was some
sort of marketing agreement between Sprint and AT&TW announced today
even though one is CDMA, the other TDMA/GSM. I don't get what is going on.

Right now I have a Nokia 6340i and a GAIT Nation plan.  I'd like to
switch to a GSM plan but I understand that cingular won't let me use
this phone on a GSM-only plan, even though at the time I bought this
phone in July 2003, the rep told me I'd be all ready for when cingular

I live in a western suburb of Chicago and work in one of the Northwest
suburbs.  I'm wondering what current Cingular customers in the Chicaoland
area feel about the GSM coverage.  How does it compare to T-Mobile?
