Maryland GSM coverage?11 May 2004 05:56 GMT2
I have a two beginner questions. I am a Cingular subscriber and I have
an older 6161 Nokia, which obviously does not handle GSM.
I am in the Annapolis Maryland area, and I was wondering if I GSM is
active in my area? Also, do I need to have a special plan to utilize

Moving SIM card between 7280 Blackberry and 6340I09 May 2004 09:08 GMT8
I would like to use a Blackberry 7280 around my home area since the GSM
works fine there.  But I have Cingular Nation and the non-GSM
frequencies are used a lot when I travel.  Can I move the card back and
forth as needed?
GSM only 6340i07 May 2004 00:53 GMT4
Does anyone know if a 6340i can be made GSM only so Cingular will see it as
acceptable on their GSM network. They distributed these phones because they
would be usable as they switched to GSM but now that they have they say its
a gait phone and if I want to switch to GSM I'll ...
Cingular rollover vs. Nextel free incoming?06 May 2004 22:05 GMT30
Does anyone have any opinions on comparing the value of Cingular's
rollover minutes (GSM) to Nextel's free incoming plans?
I'm leaning toward the Nextel free incoming as being the more
attractive, but maybe I'm missing something.
Samsung P107 Camera Phone Availability06 May 2004 21:56 GMT1
I understand that Cingular will soon offer the P107.  Does anyone know if
it'll be available before Mother's day?
I want to get one for my mom.  I'm thinking about adding her to my account
at $9.99 per month so I can call her using my Mobile-To-Mobile minutes.
Cancel without paying ETF due to living and working in a dead zone05 May 2004 22:29 GMT75
I am curious to know if Cingular will let those customers who live and
work in a dead spot out of their contracts without having to pay the
ETF.  I receive no signal in my apartment complex or if I do get a
signal, my phone drops the call within a few minutes.  This is quite

reliability of cell phone service05 May 2004 19:23 GMT26
I'll toss in my two cents worth.  Cell phone coverage is iffy anyway
becuause its radio.  A cellphone system is complex enough with the
radio component through in.
I would never ever consider my cell phone reliable.
Smart Device (phone) - Anyone use these?05 May 2004 15:54 GMT38
My new job will entail fairly extensive travel in the northeastern part
of the US.  NY, NJ, PA, MA, etc.  I currently use Sprint as a wireless
provider and am thinking about getting a Smart Device (phone).  Anyone
use these -
SIM Phone TB Used on TDMA (CDMA?) account?05 May 2004 14:26 GMT3
I've got an old account.   It's not GSM, just the old standard.
Not sure whether that's CDMA or TDMA.
My phone's getting flakey and I'd like to purchase a new one which has
a SIM card in it.   Hopefully this will take Cingular "support" out of

Counting anytime minutes04 May 2004 21:33 GMT12
My night time minutes starts at 9:00pm.  If a call starts at
8:59pm and lasts 10 minutes, would that be 10 anytime minutes, or
1 anytime minute and 9 nighttime minutes?
T616 upgrade04 May 2004 18:44 GMT2
Has anyone had any luck getting the firmware upgrade for the SE T616 in the
Philly area?  I'm looking to upgrade it without sending it away to get it
done.
