I'm a little confused about this whole GAIT thing. From what I've read,
it seems like even though the coverage area with a GAIT phone is huge,
I'll still get hit with roaming charges if I go outside of an official
Cingular coverage area, even if I have a plan in which roaming and ...

Does anybody get cutoffs on GSM phones?  Our family has the problem with
Motorola and other brands so I don't think it is a certain brand.  The line
just goes dead and you have to redial.  I'm pretty much fed up with this and
would like to push Cingular to do something about it.  ...

I have a GSM phone, questions:
1. what does "Cingular Extend" on the display mean?
2. some folks have mentioned that they can detect when they are
using someone else's network. How can I tell when that's happening

From what I've seen, converting our current plan to FamilyTalk doesn't
give us any night/weekend minutes, and the prices for the different
anytime minute packages are higher. It seems to me that cancelling our
current plans and signing up for FamilyTalk fresh would give us ...

Is there a way to lock out the analog and tdma part of the Nokia 6340i. I
want to use it on a GSM plan only.

I bought a MPx200 on EBay and just got it but it doesn't work with my
Cingular SIM.  I know that it may be locked but I bought it "unlocked".  How
can I tell if there are any locks on this phone?  I'm in the DFW area, if
this helps.  Could this phone even work on the area Cingular ...

Why do I sometimes receive notification of a voicemail messages 48 to 72
hours late?  I'm on a Regional GAIT plan with Nokia 6340i.

I am trying to download MMF (Yamaha SMAF) ringtones on my Samsung X427
over WAP from IIS 6.  However, whenever I navigate to the MMF file, I
get a "Not Acceptable" 406 error.
I am thinking it is a MIME type issue because I can upload a MID file,

I just replaced my really old single-band Ericsson, and transferred the
little card to the new one.
Is there anything useful to do with the old phone? That includes
donation, if some good use will be made of it.
