Getting ready to change from Sprint - looking at cingular12 Jul 2004 18:14 GMT43
I am pretty much fed up with Sprint PCS, and am getting ready
to move to another provider.  So far, Cingular is leading the short
list.
I do have some questions, and if anyone can help me with these, I'd
6200 as modem12 Jul 2004 04:18 GMT5
I got a DKU-5 data cable for my Nokia 6200 and installed the software on
my laptop, then downloaded PC-Suite from Nokia and installed that.  It
shows up as "Port 1 ...  COM11".  I tried AOL, which didn't see the modem,
and which only offers Com1-9 under set-it-up-yourself mode.  So ...
Friend not getting acceptable coverage11 Jul 2004 14:31 GMT27
I have a friend who is moving and is having trouble with her Samsung
X427.  Cingular has told her the area she's moving to has "very weak"
GSM coverage.  Does Cingular operate anything other than GSM in
upstate South Carolina?  Is there a different phone she can get that

Suggested headsets for Samsung x427?10 Jul 2004 21:38 GMT1
My wife and I both hate the headset that comes with the x427. It seems
really hissy, and the volume is terribly low. The other headset I have
doesn't seem to be making a full connection, and it cuts in and out.
Anybody have any recommentations?
Poor coverage at my house10 Jul 2004 17:41 GMT15
I just signed up for Cingular yesterday with the T637 phone.
Overall Raleigh, NC, has decent Cingular coverage, but I get
terrible coverage at my house.  I called Cingular tech support
and they basically explained that the mile or so around my

Wireless Internet Express question09 Jul 2004 22:13 GMT3
I noticed one page on cingular.com that mentions a $0.00 pricing option,
in which you just pay 1 cent per kB. I can't seem to find that anywhere
else, though. Is it really an option?
Can anybody share their experiences with Wireless Internet Express?

Cancellation09 Jul 2004 01:30 GMT17
I had Cingular for 1.5 years before I went to College an hour away from my home
town. In order to not get charged for roaming, I had to switch to their GAIT

work, I lose a lot of calls and I get weird ...
