Verizon has free incoming calls30 Nov 2004 20:53 GMT31
I read that millions of people moved their cell phone number to Verizon, so
I checked it out.  I'm currently a Cingular customer with a GSM phone.
No rollover on Verizon, but incoming calls are free!  I really like that, as
most of my calls are incoming.
What does "Emergency Calls Only" mean?30 Nov 2004 13:57 GMT14
I've not been a Cingular user very long (or a cell phone user, for that
matter), but I've gotten that message a few times when I've tried to
make calls.
In general, I've gotten the message in the same places where I have
Tri mode with GSM30 Nov 2004 13:37 GMT5
I'm  considering replacing my TDMA phone with a phone that uses GSM and
TDMA. My question is how these phones decide which network to use and do
you have any manual control. Will it hang onto a weak unusable  GSM
signal before it switches to a strong TDMA signal.
Which camera phone captures the best shot?30 Nov 2004 08:56 GMT10
I'm looking for a camera phone that does a great job with
its camera function.  Most important, the image has to be
sharp and vivid.  Any site review with captured image
samples would be a great to help me decide.
problem receiving pictures v400 on cingular30 Nov 2004 04:36 GMT2
It appears that I can send pictures just not receive them.  We have
two phones on the account and trying to send a picture from one phone
to the other  doesn't work.  I just spent 45 minutes on the phone w/
cingular support and they have no clue.  But they are going to have a
is there a way to get a new phone without renewing contract?30 Nov 2004 04:22 GMT6
I am happy with the existing contract which has expired about a year ago and
none of the new plans can match what I've got.  My plan is regional, and all
the new plans are national with a lot less minutes. Since I hardly travel
outside of my state, national plans do nothing for ...
Yellow Pages access on Cingular30 Nov 2004 04:20 GMT18
Hello, all!
Have a quick question.  I used to be able to access several yellow
pages sites off MediaNet and also YP provided by Yahoo on my
Cingular phone (SE T637).  As of recently, I can no longer lookup
Is Cingular GPRS Class 8 or Class 10?29 Nov 2004 21:27 GMT1
All,
Several weeks ago I purchased an unlocked i-Mate PDA2k and have set it up
for use on the Cingular network. It has a setting for either Class 8 (4RIT)
or Class 10 (3R2T). What is this, and what should the proper setting be?
Rebate eligibility?29 Nov 2004 15:11 GMT7
I signed up for Cingular service a few days ago at Best Buy and chose the
V551 @ $49. While traveling out of town for the holidays, I noticed that the
phone would not last on a full charge for more than one day. Also, I kept
getting this blank white screen requiring me to power ...
Roamer Access Numbers29 Nov 2004 15:02 GMT2
Does anyone know how to find Cingular roamer access numbers? That is, the
local number you can call to contact someone in the area on a Cingular phone
without a long distance call to their home area.
The most common number used to be: NPA-NNX-ROAM (7626) using the primary

Question29 Nov 2004 03:00 GMT3
Suppose I bought a phone, suppose a Treo 600 from a company that does
not affiliate itself with any one company.  How do I get the phone to
work on, say Cingular?
I don't understand the SIM card part of it or unlocking it.
