I am not very knowledgeable about the type of network that Cingular is setting up (by end of 2006). The press doesn't provide much details either. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6622740/ Will Treo 650 work at the high speeds on this 3G network?

I have a Nokia 6230 with Cingular, and I can't get a signal in MUNI and BART tunnels. Not a big surprise, but I HAVE seen people making and getting calls in the tunnels. How is this possible?

This is evidently an old problem with Cingular and certain phones. I just discovered it with my RAZR. It also occurs with Motorola V400, V551, and probably others: From a PC email client, I send a message to the phone.

Recent press releases from Cingular say that EDGE is available to 260 million people, suggesting it has been fully rolled out. The coverage maps show the Carolinas market as not yet covered, and I'm not seeing data rates that would indicate EDGE.

Alright, heres the scenario. Parents push us into a 2 year contract with cingular. Not bad, after a year and a half we were ready for new phones. Ends up, just as our shitty contract expires, my IDIOT dad takes the courtesy of signing us up for a whole nother f.cking two years! ...

I remember reading somewhere on Cingular's website that you can check your minutes usage by entering *MINS# (and then pressing the CALL button). I tried it and it says "Operation ended by network". I tried to find the instructions again on Cingular's website but could not find it ...
