Force ATT as default carrier?14 Jan 2005 07:00 GMT9
Just moved to the Bay Area, and at my home I have very marginal (0-1
bar) signal with Cingular, but full (4 bars, even in the basement) with
ATT (presumably GSM 850).   I can manually select the ATT network, but
it always goes back to Cingular after some time.
Cingular Nation coverage14 Jan 2005 07:00 GMT44
Hello all, I'm a newbie so please forgive if this is redundant.
I'm currently an ATTWS One Rate subscriber, contract long since
expired, and am in a group that will soon be dumped off to Alltel.  I
love the plan and coverage I have now but am wasting no time crying

I have a Sony T62u GAIT phone and I got it activated on a GAIT plan with a
32k SIM that was in my Sony T616 that I had previously been using with a GSM
Nation plan.  After reading some things in this newsgroup about the 64k SIM
being more desirable I was wondering if it was ...

I have a Motorola brand Bluetooth headset and a Motorola V551 phone.  All
has been working fine.  I had an experience today though that while using
the headset if the phone number I dialed returned a busy signal I could not
hang up the call from the headset and had to do it from the ...

I have a strange call on my Cingular bill.  It shows the
number I called is 819-772-2746.  It's located at Hullot QC.
The Cingular rep find this place is actually in Canada.

Ring Tones on 601012 Jan 2005 22:39 GMT2
Just got a new Nokia 6010.  It looks like it will use standard midi files
(.mid) for the ring tone.  How the heck to I get a .mid file from my
computer to the phone?  I am guessing a cable (or maybe infra-red like my
old 6340i)...

Venting.....About my first bill from Cingular $266 for 2 weeks12 Jan 2005 01:54 GMT25
Well, I got my new phones that I ordered on-line from Cingular on the 27th

$9.95 added lines don't have full billing details11 Jan 2005 01:18 GMT5
With new Family plan for $59 the added lines for $9.95 don't provide details in the bills so that the numbers called are available.
Is this in the fine print somewhere? Is there someway to see this detail?
It's not on-line nor in the printed bills.
Cingular V. Verizon Albany, NY10 Jan 2005 20:44 GMT12
My contract is expiring with Verizon and I am thinking about switching to
Cingular.  I live in the Albany, NY area and mainly use my phone in the
northeast.  Any comments on coverage?  Thanks.

New Phones at CES10 Jan 2005 20:14 GMT2
This morning, they were showing new items at CES. One of them was a new LG
phone with a big screen and room for multiple videos to be stored and
transferred around. It was for Verizon, but I'm sure it will be available in
Cingular. Big screen and a flip phone.

Which phone is right for my mother?10 Jan 2005 18:34 GMT5
She's 80 years old and quite hard of hearing. Her eyesight is OK for her
age. I want to encourage her to learn to use a cell-phone (she's a real
technophobe) with the goal of maybe getting rid of her land-line altogether.
Can someone recommend a good phone for her please?
