Worst Customer Service Ever28 Feb 2005 03:43 GMT6
Cingular has by far the worst customer service I ever experienced..........

reps who all stated they could help the mess my transition from AT&T to
cingular caused...............I finally got a response ...

get MP3 ringers there, easy way27 Feb 2005 23:17 GMT13
www.myphonefiles.com is the place, for $3 you can put up your own MP3 files
there and then send any part of it to a phone as a ringer, as many as you
want. Definitely worth it and you don't need anything extra
Anyone use screen protectors for their cell?27 Feb 2005 21:51 GMT1
Various sellers on eBay and a few web sites sell clear plastic screen
protectors sized for specific model cell phones (in my case, the Nokia
6230).  The after-market faceplates I've bought for other phones were never
very good IMHO, so I thought of trying these plastic screen ...

Best phone for battery life?26 Feb 2005 21:02 GMT10
I had a Nokia 6340 for just over 2 years and it was great for battery life.
I maybe charged it once a week.  I only talk on it 2-3 hours a week...  So
last week I decided to update and got the Moto v551.  I charged it Monday
night and by Wednesday at 11a.m. it was beeping and ...
Newbie ???26 Feb 2005 20:14 GMT3
I just got two phones that I am going to use with the prepaid cards. I
already have phone numbers setup for each phone.
I have done a lot of searching on the cingular website to see if it is
possible to start the $20.00/90 day service online, and add money as needed
Getting Cingular Motorola V551, which Bluetooth Headset to get?26 Feb 2005 17:34 GMT1
I just ordered Cingular service today with a Motorola V551 (actually
two of them for me and my fiancee since we have the family plan).  I
have been doing tons of research and am planning on ordering one soon
but especially since I'm mail ordering I"m trying to make the right
LG 1400 - took out battery and 'poof' names gone!26 Feb 2005 16:55 GMT1
I may be answering my own question here.  My wife's 1400 locked up for
some reason, couldn't even turn it off, so I took the battery out for a
second or two and put it back in.  Fixed the phone, but all the names and
numbers dissappeared.  She was not a happy camper.
cellularchoices.net25 Feb 2005 18:33 GMT1
I have decided to get a Motorola V551 with Cingular service and the
best price I've found online is through Cellularchoices.net for $75
cash back.  I found a lot of places for free as well.  I can't find
any reviews of it though.  Has anyone dealt with this company?  Are
decent deal?25 Feb 2005 16:11 GMT10
My contract with Verizon expires next month and my wife insists that we
switch carriers.  I like Nokia phones, so I'm considering 6600 with T-
Mobile and 6230 with Cingular.
One scenario I've come up with (w/Let'sTalk):
V551 Automatic Storage of Voicemail Password?25 Feb 2005 04:15 GMT6
Is there any way to override the preset for ³press and hold 1² on the
Motorola V551 and program in a pause along with the voicemail password so it
does not need to be entered each time?
Your input is very much appreciated.
NYC area, pre merger Q25 Feb 2005 03:16 GMT2
Before the Cingular/ATT merger, did Cingular have its own towers in
the New York City metro area? (NYC, Northern NJ, Long Island, a couple
counties upstate, etc), or did it roam on another TDMA/GSM carrier
(ATT)?
