V220 $100 Rebate?22 Mar 2005 04:46 GMT6
I am hoping that someone on the ng can help me.  I bought my wife a Motorola
V220 in Memphis on 12/31/04.  With a two year service agreement I could have
sworn it came with a $100 rebate (the phone sold for $99 so it basically
made the phone free).  Well, I just got a check from ...

ATT = GSM?22 Mar 2005 00:50 GMT4
Prior to the merger between Cingular and ATT, had ATT completely converted
over to GSM, or are there still some locations that are still using
antiquated TDMA technology? If they are still running TDMA, when will the
entire network be converted over to GSM?
Gait Question21 Mar 2005 19:44 GMT7
I have a Nation GSM plan and recently bought a SOny T62u Gait phone off
Ebay. Cingular activated the "Gait" plan for me (at apparently no additional
charge!) and the phone seems to work on the GSM system well.
I found out how to "force" the phone onto a TDMA system (*777*) and the ...

Can Somebody Please Explain CSD to Me?20 Mar 2005 17:13 GMT2
live in San Jose (San Francisco Bay Area) and have Cingular GSM
service with a Nokia 6620 phone.  I'm told that with CSD I can use my
phone as a modem for my laptop and place a point-to-point data call to
my ISP.  Is that right?  Does my ISP need any special equipment to
V551 settings question20 Mar 2005 14:30 GMT4
What would be the difference in setting the DTMF setting to long or short?
Is there a benefit using one over the other?
Thank you for any replies.
This does NOT make sense...v551 battery (of course) 20 Mar 2005 14:27 GMT8
So I bought my v551 on Feb. 10. Had crappy battery life. With less than 20
minutes talk time it died in 36 hrs. No bluetooth, no headset. But I tried
conditioning the battery with multiple full discharge/charge cycles and my
battery life seemed to be getting better. Lasting anywhere ...

Samsung SGH S307 Language Help Needed18 Mar 2005 08:44 GMT2
I recently bought a S307 that was used on Cingular.  The previous owner set
the language option to Spanish, and I am trying to put it to English.
Does anyone know how to do this?  It is pretty hard for me since I don't
speak Spanish.
Media Net Access18 Mar 2005 04:34 GMT3
I switched from ATT to Cingular...Media Net worked.  I went out of state
for a week on vacation where I seemed to have lost access - not sure if
this is related to my problem or not.  Now whenever I try to access the
network I get, "NO RESPONSE FROM NETWORK".

Travel to Vancouver Island17 Mar 2005 02:51 GMT5
We will be spending two weeks on Vancouver Island in the Nanaimo,
Victoria and Ucluelet areas of BC.  As a current Cingular subscriber
unless I change my plan it will cost me $0.79/minute to use our two
phones there.  Cingular CS said they will unlock the phones and we could
