Buying a Cingular SIM online???26 Apr 2005 23:42 GMT1
I'm getting an older Nokia Cingular phone to try out Cingular service
in Northern California. I need to get a SIM for this phone.
Cingular wants $25.00 for a SIM. I've seen new Cingular SIMs on e-Bay
for $5.00 to $12.00+. They are listed as the new 64k SIMs.

Anyone have thsi phone and have any opinions on it, good or bad?
Is there anything in the pipeline that I should wait for?
I Want to Terminate My Contract!26 Apr 2005 18:55 GMT32
Since Cingular acquired AT&T, mobile phone coverage in my area has been
reduced dramatically. I always get dropped calls, and can no longer
make phone calls where I used to. It is awful, and I want out. I've got
a little less than one year left in my contract- and I want to
Cingular Blackberry/7290 v. 710026 Apr 2005 15:27 GMT2
How good is Cingular Blackberry coverage nationwide? Is it better than
Verizon's? The 7290 looks like a great device. Any experienced users care to
advise on it, and perhaps compare its sound quality and reception to the new
7100? Thanks in advance.

I am unable to get my Pocket PC to connect to the Internet through a DBA-10
BT adapter and my T62u.  The PPC will connect using a CF phone card with the
same SIM and will also connect using my wife's v551 with BT.  I have been
able to conncect with the T62u in the past so my ...

I was just about to switch to this phone from Verizon, now its no

the jump and...doh!
annonying data calls25 Apr 2005 22:14 GMT3
I get a lot of data calls.  However when I called cingular service up
they said blocking data calls would turn off my GPRS to my telephone.
This sounds not correct to me. Will blocking Data calls turn off
GPRS to the telephone?
Change Home network from Old ATT to New Cingular?25 Apr 2005 20:49 GMT1
I have An ATT SIM in my Phone and its Home network is set to the old ATT

pretty good.
Though at my house, the ATT Cell Signal is poor to non-existent. The

the relationships between handset vendors and wireless carriers

Cingular 1 phone 2 numbers25 Apr 2005 04:02 GMT17
Spoke with a tier-1 Cingular service person, who tells me that I cannot have
two phone numbers ringing to the same phone.  Since I had a cell phone with
multiple numbers back in the 80's and I've had 2 number Nextels too.
I find it hard to believe that Cingular cannot support this ...

ATTWS Go Phone Refugee24 Apr 2005 18:50 GMT5
My son has the AT&T Go Phone prepaid plan that is being discontinued in
our area. He pays $29.95 per month for 150 minutes with free nights and
weekends. We have not been able to locate an equivalent plan. Everything
comparable is at least $10 more. Unless we can find something
