International Calling Redux27 May 2005 15:08 GMT2
I've been chasing down the international phone use threads and this is what
I think I've read.
1 - Phone must be unlocked - allows you to use non- Cingular sim
2 - Buy local (European) sim - allows you to place calls there.  Calling the

Isn't that a tad expensive?  Sprint blocked it for free.

However there are times when I want to activate the FastForward service when
not at home?
Can I activate FastForward using a key combination?  How does the service

Bluetooth Headset Indecision...26 May 2005 18:19 GMT1
There was a time not too long ago that I had and was very much enjoying
the wonder that is the Jabra BT-200 bluetooth headset--that is until my
wife laundered my beloved BT-200 (I think it might have been out of
jealousy...) for me. For months now I've been without a headset, but my
vm timestamping question26 May 2005 16:21 GMT2
I'm a recent switcher from tmo. The tmo voicemail system had the system
voice announce the message time before playing the message. Sure, it
takes a few seconds, but it quicker than the alternative on cingular vm
(at least any alternative that I have been able to find).
Selling Phones on Ebay26 May 2005 04:38 GMT4
I am selling my phone and my wife's nokia 3595 phones on ebay. We had
service with AT&T and are now with Cingular and have new phones. Do I need
to include the SIM cards with the old phones or do I need to take them out
for security reasons?

Text only browsing25 May 2005 01:00 GMT1
Is text-only browsing a network setting or a phone setting?
Reason ask is moved from LG to Samsung and don't know how to turn off
pictures (obviously it's cheaper text-only) and my only app for web
browsing on a phone is to check a web site to see where I am going
UNKNOWN is showing up on my Caller-ID. I don't want it.24 May 2005 18:04 GMT4
I don't want my phone to show "unknown" callers.
Does anyone know if there's away, for cingular customers to prevent
those calls from coming through?
Also, when is Cingular going to make their web site secure?
Mobile to Mobile minutes24 May 2005 17:58 GMT5
I'm a bit curious...
I'm on Family Talk with two phones. We have unlimited M2M which is cool but
I am puzzled how Cingular calculates how much M2M are used.  When I check,
the minutes displayed are more than what's being used.  Like I said, it's
EDGE/GPRS phone modem performance24 May 2005 17:58 GMT2
The goal.. eliminate my POTS landline home phone service and migrate all
phone and Internet to cellular phone so I have access while
traveling/sailing. My ISP is Earthlink (dialup, although I could upgrade to
broadband).
Non-Cingular GSM Phones on Cingular24 May 2005 17:14 GMT14
I get great service in Atlanta through Cingular's GSM service - it's
only gotten better since I switched over about 2 years ago.
That said, my contract is up in a few months and I really want a more
full-featured phone, but don't want to sign another contract.  After
