There has been much discussion about the poor battery life from the V551.
Motorola has announced a software problem that may be causing this.  It is a
warrantable item.  Check with Motorola or your provider to see if your phone
is affected.
Why ???07 Jun 2005 21:10 GMT7
The one thing I don't understand about connecting to the Internet is
why they charge extra to do it.  I mean all you use is your minutes you
are paying for.  And from what I have read some connect without paying
extra and some connect but pay extra ($3.99 per month).  So what is ...

I have a Motorola V180 phone. I'm the type of person that really doesn't
like to carry much stuff. I've gotten used to carrying my very thin wallet,
my key ring with just 3 keys (house, car-key, girl-friends car key) and my

Any down side to an UNlocked Nokia 6340i GAIT phone?07 Jun 2005 16:03 GMT7
I'm considering buying a new 6340i off of Ebay, to replace the

Cingular Chicago Comments07 Jun 2005 02:07 GMT3
Well, I wanted to update people on my Cingular experience after
switching from Verizon in Chicago. The switch and phone number transfer
were fairly painless. However, I have noticed that voice quality and
signal strength is worse in Chicago than Verizon. Get a lot of calls
considering switching to Cingular...  some merger/coverage questions06 Jun 2005 18:14 GMT6
I am considering switching to Cingular GSM (was an ATTWS TDMA customer
a few years back), and am currently with Verizon.  I had a couple of
questions:
1) AT&T TDMA 1900 used to have good coverage in my house (suburban
V60i Security Code06 Jun 2005 18:08 GMT2
I'm a previous ATT customer. I just purchased a V60i on eBay and don't have
the Security Code to get it connected to the network. It's not the usual
000000, or anything else I can think of. Is there a way for me to clear the
Security Code back to all zeros?

Some recent threads got me thinking, are there prepaid SIM cards available
in the US?  I've seen prepaid phones at Radio Shack and such, but never
SIMS.
If/when they are available, do they give you another phone # or use your
