V551. I could care less about camera and bluetooth features, just need a
rugged, reliable phone, as I am a heavy user. Would like ...

MEdia Net - Pay As You Go  -  Laptop Internet?29 Sep 2005 19:53 GMT9
Can anyone confirm that MEdia Net - Pay As You Go  can be used for
occasional access to the internet for a laptop?
I know the data cost will grow quickly, but just want a mechanism for
occasional e-mail retrieval while traveling.
tethered EDGE phone?29 Sep 2005 15:35 GMT5
I've recently been told (by Samsung customer support) that the Samsung
SGH-p207 will not work for Cingular data when tethered to a laptop.
My old USB 1.0 laptop does not have Bluetooth & I can't use IrDA
because of where I must place the phone during sessions.

I've two cell phones, let's call them Phone A and Phone B. Is it
possible to forward all SMS messages originally sent to Phone A so
they're actually delivered to Phone B?
Setting up forwarding of voice calls was easy enough... but I can't

PalmOne Units29 Sep 2005 02:34 GMT4
I was wondering if the PalmOne units will be able to function without a
subscription?  I mean, for example, like a VZW or SPCS one that's not
registered, or a GSM one with an unregistered SIM.  I can get my hands
on some pretty cheap, but I was wondering if they would be able to
WTB: any ATT GSM phone29 Sep 2005 02:08 GMT2
My daughter's cell phone was stolen. Hoping to find inexpensive used

phone that keeps me from having to fork over a boatload of money ...
Is MediaWorks unlimited...or not?29 Sep 2005 00:33 GMT4
Hello. After some research, I'm still confused regarding the features
of the online services offered by Cingular. Although I've read here
that MediaWorks (or MediaNet??) is available for cell phone
subscribers on an unlimited basis, when I went to the Cingular website

triband GSM 'good enough' for Cingular?28 Sep 2005 20:15 GMT7
Will an (obsolete) Audiovox SMT5600 with GSM 850/1800/1900 work well on
the combined Cingular/ATT networks?
Looking at other phones, what would a quad band do for me that a
tri-bond wouldn't?
New customer...should I get equipment insurance?28 Sep 2005 20:08 GMT11
Signed up with Cingular on a family talk plan with 3 Razrs in New Jersey. I
see nothing in the customer agreement that addresses equipment defects or
malfunctions after the initial 30 day grace period. If I choose not to buy
the equipment coverage plan ($4.99/$3.99 per phone; $1.99 ...
