Found this while checking out some information.  Is this new?  Is it
enforced?  Anyone have any ideas?  Just wondered as I have heard that a
lot of people use the ?? 1X  ?? to get their email and newsgroups with
only a charge by the minutes used.  Any comments?

My business partner went to buy a V551 phone today with
Media Net unlimited. We were under the impression
internet access was not tied to the rate plan minutes.
A cingular 'data' person was in the store and told

Nokia is offering a Great Price on phones for new activations with rebates.
Almost $400 dollars total savings on the 3 phones I'm looking at but I'm
already a cingular customer and not eligible for rebates with upgrade.
My question. Has anyone just ordered completely new service ...

Anybody know how to set a Moto Razr to display a 24 hr clock?  I couldn't
find any way to do that...

Is it true or rumor that Tracfone and Cingular users can exchange calls free
as other mobile users?

My older Motorola t720 used to "beep" when I had a "new voicemail
message" waiting. This would be a reminder beep repeating approx. every
10 minutes. Is there any setting on the V551 to do this.

I have two VX4500's.  One has the "scheduler/calendar" option in the Tools
menu and the other does not.  Can the local Verizon store update the
software on the older phone?  If so, is there a charge?

My wife's ATT contract just ran out and wants to upgrade to a Razr (o
course!).
Upgrading straight through Cingular is $200 and they won't seem t
budge, no customer discounts anymore or so they say. I can go through

Is anyone able to send email, with any server, with SSL over port 465
via Cingular's data connection?  I can receive POP email with SSL on
port 995, but not send with SSL enabled.  
Others using the same server have no problems connecting over other

I would like to close my old att account and move over to a new cingular
family plan.  However, cingular will not provide the unlock codes.  Does
anyone have to unlock code for the siemens sx56.
