How effective is the E911 system working on the Cingular GSM and Verizon
CDMA networks.  Is the Verizon system any better since it uses GPS
satellites?
Cingular Switching from GSM a Rumor?16 Sep 2005 02:25 GMT21
Hi, I'm  a newbie to Cingular (as of 9/9) and to this group. I just found a
disturbing link concerning Cingular's coverage. Personally to me, it sounds
like either sour grapes over some former unresolved dispute with the company
or online sabotage from a competitor, but if true, ...

Thanks again to everyone who responded to my question concerning purchasing

told by the proprietor of my local Cingular store here in ...

I have one of the new Blackberries (7100g) and I am in Austin, Texas.  I
usually get a pretty good signal everywhere except at home (Spicewood
Springs area) usually one bar at best.  However, I decided to look at the
Network settings and when I switch to manual from automatic and ...

Breach of Contract?15 Sep 2005 03:40 GMT11
I have service with Cingular wireless and I use this service as my
primary means of communication.  I have no land line.  My service is
usually ok in much of the city where I live (Huntsville, AL) but at my
home it is terrible.  I cannot maintain a signal for more than 5
Amazon deal, Family Plan and Number Portability15 Sep 2005 01:18 GMT1
I am thinking about switching from TMobile to Cingular and found the
good deal on Amazon.  However, in the Amazon Family Plan Lowdown
portion, it mentions:
If you don't already have an account with Cingular Wireless:
Nokia 6682 is now available for everyone14 Sep 2005 21:29 GMT1

everyone.  $299 for a 2 year contract (ouch).  I
couldn't pull the trigger, it just doesn't have enough

mp3 to ringtone?14 Sep 2005 15:16 GMT7
I tried downloading an mp3 to my Motorola v551 and the file transfered
and showed up in the sounds folder of the v551 but I get an error if I
try to play that sound.  So I guess the v551 doesn't play mp3s or at
least it can't play this particular mp3.

Cingular .....  It doesn't suck!14 Sep 2005 13:43 GMT4
When I first switched to Cingular a few months ago I got more dropped calls
in the first couple of weeks than I had in the last couple of years with my
previous AT&T provider.  Also, it frequently sounded like my caller stopped
talking and started playing a Mouth Harp at the most ...
