Gainesville, FL coverage?18 Nov 2005 20:26 GMT7
I am thinking of switching carriers.  Can you tell me how the GSM coverage
is in Gainesville & North Florida in general?  Are you satisfied with the
company in general?
Thanks in advance... Bruce
Contract dates18 Nov 2005 16:58 GMT1
I am a former ATT customer. Is there a website that lists my contract start
and end ( I have a 2-year contract and am basically happy with Cingular, but
would like to see when I might be eligible for some re-upping perks)?
In fact, will I be forced to switch to Cingular proper, if ...
Laguna Woods18 Nov 2005 15:17 GMT2
I'll be traveling to and in the vicinity of Laguna Beach/Laguna Hills this
Christmas and would like to know what the Cingular (I am a "Former ATT
customer) reception is in that area. I know that there is theoretical
coverage but am interested in the quality of the reception.
New MEdia Net18 Nov 2005 02:13 GMT1
Has anyone tried this yet?  On my V3 it is text based and I think I
like to old one better.  How does it look on other phones?  What
feedback do you have?
Motorola V551 Setup17 Nov 2005 20:57 GMT1
I just upgraded to a Motorola V551 phone.  My prior phone, an LG4015
included some notepad space in the address book to use for addresses,
account numbers, etc for a contact.  In starting to input this data to the
Motorola phone, I notice the address book in this phone does not ...
TDMA to GSM17 Nov 2005 20:49 GMT32
I manage my company's cellular services.  The majority of our cell
phones are GSM, but I have approx 30 or so still on TDMA.  My rep
thinks migrating these to GSM is a good idea and says it would even
save us money.  Most of the people with the TDMA service need a phone
Nokia 6010 caller id17 Nov 2005 16:30 GMT3
Have a Nokia 6010.  My address book is stored in phone, not SIM (was in
sim, but I moved them to phone and they're no longer in sim).  When
someone calls who is in my contacts, their number shows up on my caller
id but not their name.  Their name would be MUCH more useful.  Is there
Question regarding having my cell phone and laptop work together17 Nov 2005 15:08 GMT1
I want to use my V551 with Cingular service to connect either by Bluetooth
or by USB to my laptop so that my laptop can have remote internet service.
What's the best way to go and why?
I already have a USB cable that plugs into the phone.
IS this true... Cingular will unlock your Phone for free??17 Nov 2005 07:56 GMT4
Went to the local Phone store and the guy behind the counter said that if
I want to unlock the moto v551 all I have to do is call CS and request
that the phone be unlocked so I can go to Europe with the Phone. In turn
Cingular calls MOTOrola and they (motorola) send an unlocking ...
Since when do you have to send back old phone when upgrading?16 Nov 2005 21:41 GMT15
I've been on an ATT legacy account with a business discount account for
several years.  I've upgraded phones a bunch of times, and they always just
sent the new phone and I put the old one in a drawer.  It was the same since
I added family plan lines and switched to GSM.  The ...
best wireless internet tech available in my area?16 Nov 2005 18:37 GMT6
Verizon sort of screwed me over.  I'm in the process of opening
and office and the DSL install that was scheduled for yesterday
may take another two weeks.  In the meantime I'm paying
developers whos ability to do work is crippled without
Can a Moto V551 be used as pay-as-you-go ?16 Nov 2005 14:56 GMT6
Or is there some difference with prepaid phones?

ATTN: John Navas16 Nov 2005 06:36 GMT1
What happened to you and SONIC.NET (ADSL)?
You used to be a big "cheerleader" for them, so to speak.  I see
you're back on AT&T WorldNet (dial-up).
Inquiring minds want to know.
Q: What Does 310-380 and 310-170 mean?16 Nov 2005 02:41 GMT4
Playing around with my new phone I came across these in the Network
settings. Both of them say Cingular and under View I get the above
numbers. Both of which I can Register if I want. I've registered but I
don't see any difference. I have an idea of what they are but I'd
