Data Connect Unlimited $39.9906 Nov 2005 12:45 GMT1
While looking at Cingular Rate Plans, I see that Nation 700 FamilyTalk
seems to have replaced my Nation 500 at the same price point.
The "Optional Plan Features" shows "Data Connect Unlimited $39.99".
This is cheaper than even the promotional offer on the Business page, and
UMTS and HSDPA in November05 Nov 2005 03:24 GMT33
I heard from a usually reliable source that Cingular will launch UMTS
with HSDPA in the 18 markets on November 1.  Anyone else heard this?
Cingular KUDOS05 Nov 2005 02:52 GMT4

What a great experience.

My opinion of cingular is rapidly changing.
Inexpensive prepaid?05 Nov 2005 01:49 GMT37
Any recommendations for prepaid service?
I almost signed up for Cingular's today - until I read the fine print. Even
the $100 cards expire in 180 days.
Virgin Mobile looks nice, but it's CDMA.

IMAP, Exchange 2000, V551 problem03 Nov 2005 15:39 GMT9
I have a problem with Exchange Server crashing at my office when I have my
V551 set to check for email periodically.  It logs in to IMAP but never logs
out, so that after a while there are multiple active log ins.  Finally the
server's CPU is overwhelmed and locks up.
FAQ: How does Cingular do E911 positioning?03 Nov 2005 04:49 GMT11
Cingular is doing E911 location by means of U-TDOA, which works with any GSM
mobile device.

Auto update and daylight/standard time03 Nov 2005 00:07 GMT15
Why isn't my phone updating with the change to standard time? It is
set for auto update. If I set it for manual and then set the correct
standard time, it is ok. But then if I set it back to auto update, it
reverts to daylight time (a couple of minutes off at that).
Big article in today's Atlanta Journal Constitution on the Cingular / ATT merger02 Nov 2005 18:51 GMT6
and the associated technical challenges.  Just an FYI.
Also...HP and Cingular Wireless have announced the HP iPAQ hw6500 series
Mobile Messenger, the first Pocket PCs in the United States to use Cingular'
s high-speed EDGE network.  Apparently avail is 10/31.
Can't send/receive MMS with V302 Nov 2005 15:43 GMT8
V3 was purchased unlocked off eBay. Unable to send or recv MMS. Took it to a
Cingular storefront and they palyed with it for quite a while, but couldn't
get it running either.
Any suggestions of where to go from here?

Credit balance under $10 on a closed account, kiss it good-bye02 Nov 2005 04:48 GMT7
I recently ported my old AT&T TDMA number over to Verizon. I had
been on a $14.99 corporate plan less 23% discount for 60
minutes. I got my bill last month and paid it, and this month
got a bill showing the corporate discount plus tax, for a credit
International sms problem02 Nov 2005 01:23 GMT1
I have a 900/1800/1900 GSM phone from overseas with Cingular
pay-as-you-go SIM and want to send sms messages abroad.
When I send an sms, although my phone reports each message as
successfully sent (and charges me for it), the phone number
